After a game of glitching your way to a victory, you should hear that little voice calling you a dirty cheat and a coward. It should make you feel small and pathetic. If somehow you don't hear that little voice? Then your brain has been poorly developed, and you will most certainly take that brain around with you throughout all aspects of life... so yes, you would then be a loser in life. You know what else? These types of people I am referring to will likely never accept what they are... so the cycle continues.

I hear a voice in my head right after I BxR your grill, but the only thing it is saying is how bad you just got pooped on because you made a noobish mistake.

Button Glitching is morally wrong and cheating. I hope ALL cheaters burn in hell.

I've never used button glitches. Glitches are for sissy nancy boys who knit things, and wear pink undies.

Holy -blam!- people. You are comparing morals TO A -blam!- FPS!? Jesus Christ. This why Bungie.net is the laughing stock of every other Halo 2 site out there. Have you ever play GTA? If you have, then shut the -blam!- up. Wow. I can't believe this. You are calling me a loser in life because I -blam!- BXR!? Because EVERYTHING that I do in the game and EVERY WAY I act has a direct impact on real life right?

The game isn't about -blam!- morals. My argument in the first place was that it takes skill to use, and that most people who glitch could -blam!- on most people who don't WITHOUT USING THE GLITCHES. I guarantee you.

You will never be able to win without glitches, face it. I've beat down people with swords and shotguns many many times. I've destroyed rocket guys with a BR at medium range. How? Skill, the kind you'll never have.

O RLY? I'll never be able to win without button glitches? Is that not the main argument of this thread?

And exactly what level were those kids you beat down? I can understand shotgun, it's terribly inconsistent, but sword? If you were playing anyone decent, they must have gotten screwed SO BAD. And then it's not a question of skill, it's one of luck.

Then here is something else to think about.

If youre playing an intense game and suddenly as you walk around a corner you come face to face sith someone on the other team. You suddenly realize that you only have half shields and you need to get this kill. You have two choices:

1. You can try to four shot or melee him (and youll die unless he is bad)
2. You can BxR, BxB him before he can take down the rest of your shields (and you can survive)

Or how about if you turned around and saw the sword guy coming at you. Or the shotgun.

BxR/BxB will save your ass in a tight spot. Thats the absolute botton line. If no one BxR/BxB'd in this game then whoever controlled the power weapons would pretty much win every time. Button glitches not only will save that ass but it also adds a new dimension to the game as far as competetion goes. If you have a sword/shotty or you come face to face with a guy that has less shields than you now you may have to change your tactice a bit. If there were no glitches, the battle would just go to the guy with the most shields.

Please quit crying because youre bad and you want everyone to stoop to your level. And dont even go the moral route. I couldnt care less if I "fail at life" or not. Its not life.....its a competetive video game and guess what? Im better than you at it!

Then the people with the power weapons would win every game?! ARE YOU RETARDED?!

There is no reasoning behind that. The only reason you talk like that is because most retards charge into battle. I preffer to take cover and fire with my BR, check my radar and surprise enemies around corners, attack from other angles and stay at medium range. I do NOT button glitch, I do NOT use any bounces. I use simple tactics that make the game more interesting. I bet I could pwn you with dual SMG's. Why? Because I can use almost everything to an advantage. You have to hide behind stupid combinations that have no skill to excecute. Youa re NOT good, you are just cheating and have NO HONOR whatsoever.

You will never be able to win without glitches, face it. I've beat down people with swords and shotguns many many times. I've destroyed rocket guys with a BR at medium range. How? Skill, the kind you'll never have.

No skill? Try to 3 shot me, I dare you. I'll strafe, and fire back, and I want to you pull it off. if it took no skill, you'd be able to do it. Let me see you beat me in a melee battle with BXR, I could probably top you WITHOUT using it, because there's so many countless ways to counter it. They take skill, especially DS. Pulling off accurate DS(especially while not using Claw) is probabaly more difficult than sniping.

So every person who button glicthes, really isn't that good? You're so ignorant. A majority of people who glitch, raraley even use them, and still can dominate. I don't need to BXR much, because I usually have a Shotty secondary. Shotty>BXR(but a BXR is harder to do). I barely DS, because I'd rather have a great starfe that can make DSers miss, and I'd rather just straight 4 shot somebody.

"You will never be able to win without glitches, face it. I've beat down people with swords and shotguns many many times. I've destroyed rocket guys with a BR at medium range. How? Skill, the kind you'll never have."

Uhh, none of those are hard, and I'm sure both he and I have done them countless times.

"LOL, you are sad. You take this way to seriously if you attach morals to it. if you like accidentally hit BxR, would you cry yourself to sleep?""

He's sad? Why? Because he recognizes that cheating in a game against other people is unfair and therefore wrong? Just because your parents completely failed to raise their child to have any sense of sportsmanship or respect for others, doesn't mean that everyone else was so disadvantaged. The world does not revolve around you.

If you arbitrarily ignore your sense of right and wrong whenever it suits you, then you are a worthless human being.

The truth can hit a nerve with most people. Seems to me that his reaction indicates that he somewhat knows his thinking is wrong. He clearly has years of therapy to unwrap that brain and rewire it. There is right in wrong in everything.... even a something so trivial as a video game. Deal with it some day or don't... but if you don't, I believe you will have larger problems in life. Meh...

People seldom act in a video game they same way they would act in public. However, the way someone acts in private or anonymity reveals their true character; whether a cheater, screamer, etc.

When someone is button glitching, I don't cry about it (although it does irk me). I just adjust my strategy accordingly.

So if I have the audacity to button combo, I am all of a sudden immoral? Because I button combo I will torture little girls and abuse animals? WTF are you smoking?

You step on an ant and continue walking, why? Because you find it insignificant, right? You don't wallow in tears and abuse yourself because of it. You may think, oh I maybe shouldn't of, but you keep going, huh? Same -blam!- here. It's a game, it's a tiny glitch and its something to have fun in. What kind of psychological crap are you trying to pull here?

You're asking people to state which non-released game they like better?

It's like asking a virgin whether they like being on top or on bottom.

I feel, in my opinion, that button glitching is fine to do in matchmakeing. Like some people feel, I believe it is like playing a fighting game, and the button glitches are just hard to do combos. If you say it takes no skill to do a Excessive Shot, Double Shot, and Quad Shot than you are sadly mistaken(I do think BXR and BXB are pretty easy to do.) I don't have to do any of the button glitches to win a match, and I still do very well without them. And for the people who think it is cheating(Like Bungie). All I have to say is," Why is superbouncing not cheating, but button glitches are?" "They both are things that exploit flaws in the game, everyone can do them, and you don't need to buy excess hardware to make them work(Via Modding)." So why should they be cheating, when other glitches in matchmakeing aren't?

"I don't really Quad Shot that much compared to a regular Double Shot. Instead of a Double Shot-YY-Double Shot,RRX-YY-RRX(Quad Shot). I perfer the "Shot Shot Double Shot."( R-R-RRX) I find the the "Shot Shot Double Shot" has a higher success rate than a Quad, because you are less likely to miss some of your headshots. And if you are good, but not amazing at a Quad Shot(Like myself), then you will have the occasional screw up on the first Double Shot. And most players would be killed in this instance because they were previously taking fire. Now, because you might have screwed up your first Double Shot in the Quad Shot, you now have to run behind a corner. This is where you make a decision; Should you stay there, reaload, and wait for the other player to pop around the corner so you can BXR/BXB him? Or you could try to make a tactical manuever by sneaking around him for the assasination. Or the last thing you could do is suprise by doing an Excessive Shot,BRX-RRX-BRX-RRX(Triple Shot). That would catch him completely off gaurd."

That is a quote by me. Now that might all be running through the normal button glitchers head at the moment you are attacking. Now if you think it takes no skill to do a button glitch, then I would like to you Excessive Shot, or Quad while fighting your opponent. It's a little harder to do, I think, than you people who just pull the R trigger. We, button glitchers, have to push multiple buttons and pull the R trigger in under a second to make one shot work(Double Shot, BXR, and BXB) You non button glitchers are just having to push R trigger every half second. We have to do most of our Quad's and Excessives in under that to make them work correctly. That, my friends, takes way more skill than pulling a trigger, and it takes more concentration and more skill to pull off those button glitches.

One thing that is stupid that I hate about regular open area BR'ing is, it's a whoever shoots first wins. Maybe if there is cover around you can hide and the pull off a four shot on the guys head from a suprise jumping strife. But if you were to say button glitch after he fired off two shots, he might be damaged and forced to retreat, giving you some time to heal, or he could be dead. It's no longer a shoot first win first situation. It's a "Who has more skill?"

And also for the people who button glitch. They are always trying to fight other button glitchers. This makes it really hard, because if both of you are glitching than it's an even battle. But one Double Shot can turn the whole thing around. Now a button glitcher has to look out for people more. If he see's someone he has to make a decision. "Should I fire at him, or wait for him to come here. Because he could turn around and Quad me when I'm only going to fire a Double Shot. Maybe if I hide I can pull of a BXR. But he might see me and do it before me. Maybe I should wait for a teamate, but he might know that, and tell one of his teamates to flank us and shoot us from behind while he Double Shots us. If he shot a regular shot I could live, but that's a maybe" That is running through the mind of a button glitcher. You non-button glitchers should think like that, but you don't because you expect him to play as you do. But he might not. So you get mad in the game and yell and scream "Cheater!" While you, yourself, have probably superbounced in that match and was just killed while you were up there. You darn glitcher.

  • 06.13.2007 5:32 AM PDT

"because spartans cant wort wort wort anything"

Made me laugh so hard.

You trained your hands to do the correct button combos, congrats. Bungie still says its against the rules, plain and simple. I think what a lot of the people are trying to say here is that is wrong because of this fact. Which it is. Does it help you win? Yes. As usual it all comes down to the individual player and their decision to do or not to do a thing. Just remember that there are going to be consequences to your actions, in a game and life.
