While playing campaign recently, and sometimes multiplayer, I come across the backround 'burned-into' my TV screen. I don't play on Hi Def TV, just a stadard Def. I tried reverting to the last checkpoint, and that doesn't work, only save and quitting, then reloadin the whole level gets rid of it. I also came across this in a Snipers game on Terminal. This didn't happen before Bunie released that playlist update. And I also play on a 360, I haven't tried it on my old Xbox yet, but I'm just curious if anyone else has had this happen. You can't see the burn-in in dark lighted areas of the game though. The game is still playalble, yet it just drives me crazy.

Come on, is there anything at all that I can do to fix this? It only happens on Halo 2.

Ya, man, I know what you're talking about.

I play Halo 2 on 360 now (I played on xbox waay back, and just got a 360 for H2). All through campaign, I got that image that just randomly appears.

Have you ever gotten it on multiplayer? I have... it sucks.

And all I can ever find on it is "Just restart the game or kill yourself on a certain level," which is no help at all. They need to release a fix for it.

I've only had it happen on Lockout, Sanctuary, Headlong, and once on Burial Mounds. Never in campaign, though.

Yeah, me neither. (usually)

iirc it has something to do with the 360 and the display on non-HDs, but i might be mistaken. (also, it still doesn't explain why it happens w/ normal boxes.)

Yeah, it should happen to everyone. It's because Halo 2 is an Xbox game and we're playing it on 360. The emulator in 360 doesn't run the game perfectly because of the simple fact that it's an emulator, not an actual Xbox. The best thing we can do is just put up with it.

that's a previous post. no Poll though. I guess it wasn't that official. It annoyed the hell out of me. at one point i couldn't see a good chunk of the top right hand corner of my screen. Haven't seen it on Multiplayer yet. I'll rue that day though.

It has always, done that with me. But only on the level Outskirts all other levels are fine.

It happened to me before the update. I haven't had it in a while and it makes it really hard to see. I just have to turn off my Xbox. Maybe turning off the TV would work, but I haven't tried that.

I've tried turning off the TV, that didn't work for me.

There Is No Knowledge That Is Not Power

Yeah, I keep hoping every time there's an update it will fix it. And I think that maybe it does, until out of nowhere, there it is again. Happened on SD and HD, so it has nothing to do with that. Never had it happen on MP though, that would really tick me off if it did - but I play campaign more that MP, so that is probably the reason.
