Every since the beta ended I came back to H2. I can't tell you how many times i've been:

-Bxr
-Bxb
-Double shot

And these people think it's skill to do these things. I say nothing the whole game. "Get owned, newb."

The lag is seems to get worse as the game goes on for some reason I can't understand.

The lunging melee, seriously who can lunge 5ft with a damn smg.

Assasinations don't seem to work anymore.

Everyone seems to love there automatic snipers.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't think I can't wait much longer for H3 to come out. Any games you can suggest that is better then this.

I've said this in another thread, but it seems more fitting here

Back when it came out, I used to play Halo 2 a lot. And it was a lot of fun. I stopped playing for a while, but after the H3 beta I decided it was time to pick it back up, and I hppped into the tourney. Things have changed since I last played. I've seen monumental ammounts of cheating, lag, and standbyers in this tournament. In the first game I played, I died from a single bullet from an SMG. Seemed kinda funny, but I brushed it off and kept playing. A couple of games later, I meleed someone in the back of the head, and it did nothing. I didn't miss (he was sniping) it just had no effect. I've had bullets pass through people, I've seen people who appear to be bulletproff, and I've been killed with a single shot from a weaker weapon. I can't say which of these occurances can be attributed to cheaters or lag, but whatever the cause, Halo 2 isn't fun anymore.

I'm not just a talentless gamer whining here. I wasn't able to get in on the H3 beta til the last week, but in the first two nights I played, I went from rank 1 to rank 10 in around thirty games. That's not great, but it's not bad considering I was new to the maps, and hadn't picked up a halo game in well over a year. In this tournament, however, I've managed to make it to 3 in a matter of 20 games.

The beta was a blast, much like my first experiences with Halo 2. My concern is that Halo 3 will one day turn into what Halo 2 has become.

As for the button glitches, it's a part of the game whether anyone likes it or not. If you're pissed about it, learn to use it. I don't blame button glitches for my losing matches, but I won't be sorry to see them go either.

Umm, since when did rank ON A VIDEO GAME matter? As you can see from my recent games, I don't play that much anyway.

I'm so glad I got advice from you, obviously you have an incredibly high rank which makes 10x better then i'll ever be. (Extreme sarcasm)

ps. where are your games anyway.

Since there were tournaments that pay money and prizes.

But, yeah..Halo 3 is a bit nicer. The only thing I thought was odd about it was that the Banshee can't fire down, so instead people have to resort to splattering opponents on the ground.

The spawning system is still as broken as ever, though. (Well, there are too many factors involved) And I don't enjoy static spawn points on team slayer games.

I agree, but the button glitches are not really hard to get by. its hard to aim with a double shot... so stay evasive. and for a BxR, get a shotgun, or dont go close range... its pretty simple. I use the button glitches, and it is really easier. So try and use them maybe you will see why people use them.

I'm sick of hearing people complain about button glitches. Just think of them as part of the game and learn to use them. Otherwise, don't complain. As for standbying and other forms of cheating, it really doesn't happen as much outside of the Challenge. I've been playing Team Hardcore for a while and only ran into one game where I was standbyed. Halo 2 hasn't really gotten worse with time, it's actually gotten better. Standbying is a lot less frequent, it's just that the Challenge has drawn standbyers into one place.

Halo 3 > Halo 2

Too many n00bs using button glitches, then whining when it doesn't work for them, thus starting pointless flame threads.

Button glitching was a tumor in halo's brain, it caused nothing but trouble, and everyone should be glad they removed it.
