Follow this link to have your mind blown:

"Now running in real-time in engine, the Master Chief walks through a door and awe strikes the faces of the marines in the Pelican’s cargo bay. He reaches up and pulls down a sniper rifle from overhead and readies the rifle. As he raises it, light streams in from outside. It travels up the Chief’s armor, glistens off of the rifle’s barrel and as the cargo door opens wider, you can see the reflection of the cargo bay opening up to somewhere in the Chief’s visor. Depth of field blurs the tip of the rifle, while the Chief and marines with mouths agape remain in focus."

Mmmm...Toasty!

i dont know if anyone else posted this, cus i skipped to last page, but if you look at the pic, the marine on the right, his BR looks like it has a different barrel to the one on the left,
i hope there arent diff models and i hope it is just the angle.

just putting it out there

ok, dw, it was just a darker area from behind that made it looks differend x_x

D.A.M.N. FX ................lmao cool, anyhoot..........awesome update bungie, cant wait for more info on the elites and such...

  • 06.12.2007 11:31 PM PDT

cool, carnt wait for online co-op, please bungie allow atleast 4 people to group and fight on co-op on xbox live, local network and split screen. obviously not all at once lol but you know what i mean

  • 06.12.2007 11:34 PM PDT

<(='.'=<)

I would not recomend to have 4 player co-op becasuse then the game would just be to easy. They should make it so 2 of the 4 people get to play, while the other two spectate. then when one of the people playing dies the spectator would then get to play.

"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can't accept not trying." - M. Jordan

The Shield is the best show on TV. After Nip/Tuck fell apart in season 3, the Shield has been the best show. I hate how Vic turned on Shane for killing Lem, when Vic killed that cop in the first season that was a snitch in their strike team. Hypocrite.

A witty signature you say ! ? well at the moment i have nothing witty that springs to mind, so sory..................nope still nothing.......

Sounds awesome, really can't wait to see all the detail you have put into the cinematics and also just to see what the new engine can do. I love the idea of the chiefs visor reflecting everything in real time, it was one of the things that so impressed me in the announcement trailer. It's good to hear that the game sounds like it is really going to look like the first trailer in terms of visual detail. I'm also looking forward to seeing the improvements made to facial animation and to see what level you take it to. Sounds like everything is coming along awesomely!

Cheers Lukems, nice update and as always keep up the good work Bungie and to all those who are working hard on the cinimatics.

Awesome!!

One question: Bungie talks about "Remastering" the cut scenes from Halo C.E. and Halo 2 on the bonus disk, are these just cleaned up HD versions of the original scenes or will you be plugging them into the Halo 3 engine?

Wow! That would be SO COOL! :)

  • 06.13.2007 4:12 AM PDT

That kind of cutscene`s gives me goosebumbs

WAIT A SEC!!!!

Doesn't anyone remember something being said along the lines(see last post on page 3) of In-Game cinematics. Where the cinematic takes over during game play and releases control as you continue to play.

I mentioned Call of Duty because that game is similar to what I was expecting in Halo 3. Just in case someone doesn't understand, go read my example. You may not like it but it is the way it would function that is they key point.

I don't see how cutscenes or cinematics could be made any better than to be in-game during game play. The whole finish the board and then watch the scene is old news and old period. Wouldn't it have been nice to have them happen during the boards at some point and have them be slightly different depending on your path. It wouldn't be complicated but it would give the game a fresh, innovative flow.

I was thinking maybe the repeating scene is the marking on the MC's Facemask interacting with Halo's systems. Well since that shape is on his facemask and the Halo ring floors it could happen. :)

"In the third season of FX's excellent cop drama The Shield, a foil to Vic Mackey's Strike Team showed up. The Decoy Squad. Every bit as qualified as the Strike team, the Decoy squad stuck around for a few episodes and ultimately worked with the Strike team. Not so much the Decoy Squad, Emilio Ghorayeb, the animation supervisor for a group of special operatives working at Bungie, compares his folks to a television show of his own choosing: The A Team."

Interesting.

BTW if anyone else has trouble with the impromptu style of the autor's introduction to a storyline, do what I regularily do: Read from the last paragraph on upwards. Suddenly everything seems to fall in place and make perfect sense, chronologically speaking ;^)
