no bungie won't be over. Just like they weren't over when they finished with the Myth series and they weren't over when they completed the Marathon Trilogy, they won't be over just because the Halo series comes to a close. Do movie studios fold after they finish producing series? Do authors stop writing when a series is over? That was a stupid question

Wort Wort Wort?

theyll teach you to spell their name

I think it would be sweet to have a FPS that gets over into the realms of Myst or the Zork games. Somthing that isn't so straight forward and takes a lot more thought to complete the campaign.

GT= Frost1691
No Group Invites.
Worst idea ever...http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=8664824

Bungie isn't making Halo Wars. So, no, they won't be working on that. Unless they make online content.

Oh God, I hope not. I would hate a Halo MMORPG.

The simple fact is it would not be smart to quit making FPS on Bungies side. They have produced the best (H1) FPS for console and the most popular (h2) fps for console up to date. If they make Halo 3 as well as the other two then they know they have something right.

I have a feeling we will be seeing more FPS from Bungie, maybe not Halo, but I almost bet the same system of play will be there.

Oh, and they will also be recoding H1 to be playable on XBL. (I hope at least lol)

Nonviolence never solved anything.

Until people lose interest in H3, which will probably be 4 or 5 years after it comes out, they should be fine. But after that, who knows. They weren't very popular before Halo, all they had was Myth. Maybe they'll merge with another company.

My guess probably a spin off of the Halo series, possibly playing with forerunners or somthing.

Obviously you weren't very into gaming before the xbox came around. No they didn't have any games on any other systems because they weren't apart of Sony or Nintendo or Sega. But they had a very successful Marathon series for the PC after the Myth series. I've been following Bungie since I was about 8 years old playing all their games and even creating levels with the tools they incorporated into the final Marathon package. Bungie isn't going anywhere, they are a successful company that pushes the boundaries with every game they create. They are trend setters and will be successful with whatever they embark on.

That could be a cool spin off. Something with partially completed halo rings and what not....

I was thinking... maybe they could still make another halo game, but it would be strictly a multi-player game... no campeign.

  • 06.12.2007 7:10 PM PDT

what would be the point of that? odds are if halo 3 is that successful (the multiplayer portion) then they will probably contract out to have more and more maps created by companies such as certain affinity maybe incorporating different weapons and stuff, but why would they create a brand new game engine just for a new halo multiplayer?

  • 06.13.2007 4:05 AM PDT

bingie?
I think they could create a FPS related to the building of the Halos and the original Flood infestation. Then the end of the game would be the detination of the Halos.

That would bore the crap out of me.

I'd like to see them do something that's not a FPS and not halo-related.

Has Bungie ever done anything not FPS?
Maybe a new Myth or Marython.

They aren't doing Halo Wars. They're letting the same company that made Age Of Kings do it.

Haha, you mentioned one of them right there.

I think bungie, with their love of burying secrets and hidden messages, and use of viral ARG's and other obscure lore to complement their games, would make a cracking MMO.
