It would appear, verified by many people, that the 'E' key cannot be remapped no matter what you do. ( see the microsoft halo2 forums for other people)

Personally, I have removed every keymap using the E (i.e. including the 'hold' ones) and it still complains that the E key is already mapped.

Please - I'm begging you. I've waited over a year for this game to make it to the PC (despite owning a 360 - I despise controllers for FPSes) so you can imagine I am seriously disappointed that I can't set up the keyboard to my peronsal preference. You guys are better than this. The remap UI is way out of date (it should auto-unmap keys when I remap them).

Please fix this.
Regards,
EK

Simple fix to your "I hate controllers" problem.

personally, I don't have a 360, but if I ever buy one, I'm getting the keyboard and mouse as well. Controllers suck.

EDIT: Link fixed.

Yah I've been checking that out - but you realize you can't remap the keyboard on it either, right? (I know this is true on the non-pro version, I'm waiting for an e-mail reply to see if the pro has the same issue) It's hardcoded to WASD. Also, have you ever used one of those? I had one for my regular xbox. Sucked. The problem is that a joystick is NOT a mouse and it doesn't move like it.

All that said, I will probalby give it a try.
