this is like the millionth one of these.
it doesnt matter what the fans think, bungie will not let a halo movie be made because if it doesnt do good then it will reflect back onto the games

why does everyone want a Halo movie? why not a Halo TV show?

here's my idea: Master Chief and a Gold Elite are forced to share an apartment in New York City - but the only one they can afford is in an all women's co-op, so they must dress up like ladies to avoid eviction. can they learn to put up with each other's idiosyncracies while avoiding the discovery of their true genders?

how does that sound? i already have a great plan for an episode where MC and the Gold Elite must deliver a baby in an elevator. ground breaking television, i tell you.

There should be a movie quadrilogy. The three books and halo 2. There should be a series but not of master chief but of Sgt. Johnson and his squads adventures on many worlds in the covenant war. think stargate SG1. i wouldn't ever want a cartoon series of halo unless it was done as a respectable teen anime.

if the Halo universe was suddenly full of sharp nosed van god damme cartoon teenagers i would probably have to destroy several things -- and then enlist others to help me destroy additional things.

but i wouldn't mind an episode in the TV series where MC and the Gold Elite both somehow end up with 2 dates for the prom. how will they keep the dates from finding out about each other? classic.

I love the movie idea BUT i dont think Bungie would agree with it, the possiblities of it crashing and burning would be quite high, since us xbox players of the world are not exactly a much aimed for statistic.... but i think its a good idea, mabey bungie would sell the rights to someone and theycould make the movies, because yeah if they made them off the books they would be awesome

did you guys even reads the books? they're all entertwined.. it goes..

The Fall of Reach (book)
Halo (game)
The Flood (book based on the first game)
First Strike (book)
Halo 2 (game)

they all go together.. they're all about the same story, and they go in the order that i listed them.

so if the movies were to be made, the only thing left out would be the first Halo game. unless they picked out one book, which i think they'd have to do, considering how long they are.. if they did make a saga or something, though, that'd be awesome. i'd love to see The Fall of Reach as a movie. and the rest. it'd be an awesome trilogy as long as they got a good director, and Eric Nylund..

Yes, they're all the same story, but the fact remains that Bungie will never sell the rights to Hollywood to create a Halo movie/series. Would it be awesome? YES, if done correctly, but that's a risk that Bungie isn't wiling to take. Oh well, there's always Arthur that comes out this summer.

Oh yea, and check out a book called StarHammer, it was the single biggest influence on Halo. It's out of print now so you'll probably have to look on Ebay or Amazon. It's worth it, In my opinion. It was a great read.

As much as it is sad, I think I would like anything they made just because it is halo.

I mean, I've watched the game trailers multiple times each, and those are just trailers, right?

lol, yeah exactly.. i mean, look how much we're anticipating Halo 2, and it's not out for another half a year. -any- kind of movie about Halo would be good for me.

If they were to make a movie, I would hope they would base it off of the first game. Also, I think that if they want to make the movie kick ass, why not use the same technology used in making the cutscenes. They look pretty damn good, and it would be easier to make than starting from scratch with some other program, hence the Final Fantasy movie.

with the way games are so cinematic these days, i don't see the need for a movie version of the game. it has enough story elements to make it viable on its own. a movie would be redundant.

idk about a halo movie, there should definatley be a Splinter cell movie. and also, the new forums suck. it was more fun as a big mess of nonsense and unrelated posts, with some halo stuff in there too, instead of this clean soulless commie order horse-blam!-

I think it should be done from the same tools used to make halo that way it is an animation but it looks like the game. also it should be in 3rd person view. it could be one BIG cutscene in halo.

i would love a film of halo but it would have to be done very carefully, look at the tomb raider movies. what a load of bollocks they were, and remember battlefield earth...stunning book slightly dire film.

With todays CG & a good budget a HALO movie would go over Great guns. Thay can already salvage the props from the Original Starship Trooper movie. The Marine armour & assault rifles are practically identicle to the items in the game.

I think that the halo guns and uniforms are closer to the movie "Aliens" than Starship Troopers. The Marines in that movie are wearing completely identical armor. And the Sgt. in that movie looks and talks just like Sgt. Johnson. In fact i think i heard the quote "The Core ain't payin us by the hour." And the dropship that the marines use looks almost identical to the halo Dropship. And by the way, the Assult Rifles that the marines in the movie use look like a complete replication from the game, it even has an ammunition counter on it.

I think Halo should be made into a tv series, like Starship Troopers was. Did anyone watch those? I thought they were pretty cool.
