Well, i played CE for the first time in a year and i got to say, i forgot how great it was. I mean, H2 campaign bores me..but after 6 years of playing the same levels over and over, it feels different every time. And boy is the Library fun!!!

Anyone else play lately and had a lode of fun?

IMO

The level Halo > all levels in both games

but

Halo 2 Campaign> Halo 1 Campaign.

Right now I am playing it again on Legendary and I gotta say. I am up to the Truth and Reconciliation. Finally managed to get into the ship but it took all but 2 of my Health Bars. And now it is me with 2 Health Bars fighting against a bunch of Grunts some Elites and the Friggin Sword Noobs. I have already broken 2 Controllers and am VERY glad that Best Buy has an Insurance on them that covers that.

Halo 2 Campaign can be compared to Tub Girl. If you don't know her then search in Google with safe search off. Halo 1 campaign can be compared to a tight -blam!- right after you took Viagra.

I find The Library to be the worst level in both Halo games, and one of the worst in video games. IT repeats the same rooms over, and over, and over again more then any other level. And with a Battle Rifle, and a Shotgun, there is pretty much no thought required to beat it except a few groups. Justback up into a corner and shot most of the time.

I think a lot of people held that opinion, but perversely it was one of my favourite levels. It was pure old-school survival horror gaming. I know that it was repetitive, but I liked the change of pace and frantic zombie-bashing.

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

HaloCE is still great and my opinions about levels have changed many times, but i still like every level and they all needed

First favorites:
1. The Silent Cartographer
2. Halo
3. Assault On The Control Room
4. Keyes
5. Maw
6. Two Betrayals
7. Pillar Of Autumn
8. Truth And Reconsiliation
9. Guilty Sparks
10. Library

Current list:
1. Silent Cartographer
2. Halo
3. Maw
4. Keyes
5. Two Betrayals
6. Guilty Spark
7. Library
8. Truth and reconsiliation
9. Pillar of autumn
10. Assault on the control room

And by the way, when i play on Legendary i always have red health bars, when i get a medkit i instantly have red bars again.

Yes its fun just to kill Flood and level looks better than it used to, but now AotCR has gotten much worse, first i really loved it and now i almost hate it.

Inside the Mind of Halotitan Help me get expand my mind.

Ya last week i decided to just go back and start playing Halo CE again, I got tired of playing the same old stuff on the beta so in went my CE disc and i'm almost through the game again on Legendary (only way to play it). The game is a blast from the past, very fun to realize how much i missed it and why I never went back to it since the release of halo 2. I can't really compare the two campaigns too much because I've only played halo 2's campaign maybe once or twice, but i will move to the h2 campaign as soon as i'm done with Halo 1.

I like what you did here, so i'm gonna post my favs;

1. Assault on the control room (its a nice long level with many battles, has anyone ever gone through the room right before the elevator and killed everyone with melee without being seen)
2. Silent Cartographer (Getting off the pelican and straight into a battle, great time, how about grenading your warthog over that arch)
3. Maw (Weird looking covenant, flood, sentiles and a long ass drive to your longsword, this level has great memories for me)
4. Two Betrayals (Assault on the control room backwards only this time agaist three ruthless foes, oh and its nighttime, good stuff)
5. 343 Guilty Spark (loved the swampy look, gave an eerie feeling, but meeting the flood for the first time was priceless)
6. Halo (Running around and saving the survivors as the covenant come down upon them, good challenge)
7. Pillar of Autumn (honestly I just liked the feel of this level, good level to introduce someone to the game because it was short and sweet)
8. Truth and Reconsilliation (The level is challenging and you get to meet the Hunters, saving the Captain was cool)
9. Keyes (This level was too dark for me, I still enjoyed it but i often found myself kinda bored, until I found the captain! HOLY CRAP!)
10. Library (I won't argue that this isn't a good level, but who else besides me found themselves just running away after awhile? This level shows us why they're called the flood)

I like every single level, Keyes did bore me a little bit because it was a little slow, flood was easy to kill in the small hallways and I just never felt challenged on the level.
