There Is No Knowledge That Is Not Power

I was looking through posts to find out why after I bought the two new maps, got charged, then played the H3 beta, then had to download the maps again, and still get the 'Content Damaged' error, I think I know why.

I read that the download is only good for one console. The thing is, I bought the first two maps, I played the H3 beta and half way through the 360 died. I went and bought a new core unit, and everything was a-ok on the H3 front. But then I got that error. So I re-downloaded the maps again like I had read we had to do, but I am still getting that error. Is it because I had these maps on the old console, I will have to erase all the old maps and re-download? That's my only guess. So I will try that next. Please let me know if those of you having the same problem I am also swapped your HDD to a new console.

There Is No Knowledge That Is Not Power

Well, I completely deleted and downloaded the new maps, and it now works. This time (3rd time) that I downloaded the two newest maps, it said nothing about charging me. So because my X360 broke, I had to pay an extra $4.

The $4 extra I can live with. Have fun with it Bungie, you've earned it. I was able to play the H3 beta, and would have paid more than that for the experience.

Microsoft, however -- thanks so much for making me buy an new console. I've had every game system known to mankind, from the Atari 2600 to VirtualBoy to even those ORIGINAL Mattel Football games with the little red blinking lights from the 70s (not the cheap new knockoffs of the original). Not one has failed on me. Even my old Xbox's are still going strong. These 360's definately have a problem.

At least when this 360 fails (and it will, it's only a matter of time, believe me - until they fix the manufacturing process causing this) I won't be charged for the maps again since they'll be free ;)
