If you have Xbox Live than the new update makes it so the map is available to everyone. And as for it not showing proof that you beat it on certain difficulties, you can't do anything about that because they just made it like that.

By the new level you mean Foundation for multiplayer correct? If this is true there were code problems with Foundation so if you did not get it when you beat single player try this. You will need a friend or someone to play co-op with you. Create a new fresh unused charecter and make him second player, have the charecter where you beat the game as first player, go to the last level in the campaign, play the level normal until you get to the part with the Banshees and you have to protect the Scarab, have second player get into a Banshee do a barrel roll to the right then a barrel roll to the left then have him/her do a backflip, then continue on with the game doing nothing different.
Doing this should make the level Foundation availble for play on multiplayer. If this does not work please post a response, because it worked for me.

...If that worked I'm pretty sure it was plain dumb luck/ coincidence.. no offense, but if you were being serious in thinking that doing all those barrel roles and crap worked, then your a special little person.. Lol.
I don'treally care about people knowing if I did or did not beat it, I jsut want to have the level for multiplayer games. And as I understand it, the level only works on x-box live and not if its jsut a regular game, am i wrong or what?
P.S. Thanks for responding :-D

You know whats funny Napoleon98?

I did the exact samething as mentioned before about doing Banshee tricks and stuff and it did work. From the looks of it, you might be the real ''special person''.

Try it before discarding it as trash. Atleast he even took the time to respond.

he's right about all the rolls. i though it was BS too, but eventually it was the only thing that worked. though it doesn't really matter, because the new update will unlock it for you.

but see what bungie said about it (http://www.bungie.net/News/TopStory.aspx?story=autoupdateh2) :

Foundation: As something of a treat for players, we’ve decided to make the unlockable multiplayer map, Foundation, available to everyone. Previously, to unlock Foundation, it was necessary to both complete the game and activate a “training event” on the final level. We reckon that was too tough for most, and wanted very much to share Foundation – inspired by our old shoot ‘em up Marathon – with Halo 2 players everywhere.

I got the foundation level, don't have XBL ( i know =(), and didnt do your flip and barrel roll trick. I did however play a section of the game in Co-op mode with my brother, so maybe thats the trick to it. Because i definitely didnt use any of those menuevers, seeing as i had to hijack 4 banshees to kill everything =P
