Hey guys, I can get online with my X-Box, check my friends list through the dashboard. When I try to update Halo 2, it goes back to dashboard and says Updating... and never moves. I get a message shortly after saying: Could not connect to X-Box Live. The first update I went to a friends house and got the update, he uses Verison. I'm using a local company named Graceba. I'm not using a router and running the cord from my PC straight to the X-Box. I do the "reset" for my modem. Any helps or links would very usefull.

"My knee is bleeding, can I have a bandaid?" "Today its your knee, and in 10 years it'll be your wrists, why are you making this my problem?"

Do this again and I'll brand your ass with the banning prod

Try connecting your internet modem dirrectly to your X-Box.

*Sgt

Look and see if you're router is compatible with xbox live, mine wasn't and we got a new one :) works fine now.. also, check you're cable-make sure there are no incisions, and that the plugs are on right.. because thats what was wrong with ours..

Try a hardcore connection in to the modem that my help but i'm sure someone has brought it up already. If that doesn't wok i'd call your ISP and make sure its suitable for XBL

It probably is the fire wall. Call 1-800-4-my-xbox. Then ask them about it, I've had firewall problems before

Read the news story. They're doing some updates for a while.

Probably because your ISP isn't compatible with Xbox Live. Or, it could be that your settings on the Xbox are messed up. Check to make sure that they were auto-detected correctly.
