most of you reading this will not give a crap about what i have to say because it won't pertain to you personally. however, i believe i have a valid point here that should be looked in to by all, most importantly by Bungie.
i would like to point something out about the controller settings for halo 2.
DEFAULT THUMBSTICK SETTING
- user moves character with left thumbstick
- no matter which button configuration is selected, to jump, user must press A
- user is able to simultaneously move character (with left hand) forward and jump (with right hand)
SOUTHPAW THUMBSTICK SETTING
- user moves character with right thumbstick
- no matter which button configuration is selected, to jump, user must press A
- user is UNable to simultaneously move character (with right hand) forward and jump (with right hand) (ok! yes! it is possible to do both, but try it! it's simply NOT logical)
i personally believe that the minimal choice of button configurations, and/or the inability to map every button on the controller puts SouthPaw users at a disadvantage.
the DPad is pretty much useless in halo 2. why not give us SouthPaw users the option to map the DPad to perform the same functions as X, Y, A, and B?
what are your opinions on this? do you not care because it doesn't pertain to you? are you a SouthPaw user that does not care to jump and move forward at the same time? or are you a SouthPaw user that has the same problem that i do?
now! if i could only get Bungie to hear me out. could an autoupdate fix this situation? is it not important enough to be fixed? let me know what you guys think. it would be greatly appreciated if someone with any expertise regarding this matter, preferrably from a Bungie insider, could give some input on what i have to say.
