You can't do much with creating your posts, you can only bold, italicize, underline, and create hyperlinks.

You cannot indent fond, nor use color, nor impliment an image. As for the codes that are allowed:

[b]Bold[/b]
[i]Italic[/i]
[u]Underline[/u]
Named Link: [url=URL here]Text here.[/url]
Un-named Link: [url]URL here[/url]
Email: [email]insert email address here[/email]
Quoting: [quoe]Text here.[/quote]

*Note that I intentionally broke the code.

Actually, it has been discussed, the color, font size, and image issues. All have been denied extensively by the majority, myself included. You will learn that the bungie.net is filled with many immature fans, and thus, cannot handle such powers.

Well I am pretty much new on bungie, not the game I have been playing halo 2 since it came out, but I like to make my threads look nice and well I am trying to figure out what the codes are for center, font size, font color, img adding, you know all of the forum stuff cause bungies forums don't have the quick list like other forums do.

If you want to be a part of one of the greatest and most active communities in the seventh column, come here. You will thank me later.

The use of font color used to be around, but it was taken away when members started using font color to impersonate higher-ranking users (ninjas, super-users etc.) who post in either orange (white in New Hawtness 1.0) or gold. In addition to that, it can get annoying when someone uses ten different colors per post. If you want to use colors and play around with your font, you're allowed to do a bit of that by posting news articles in groups (that's it, unfortunately).

Images were also around in the Old Hawtness, but we can't post them anymore. There are a few who know a top-secret way to post images, but they refuse to let that information out.

As M3 Roki7 said, most of the people around here are too immature for such privileges.

If you want your posts to stand out, try using better grammar and punctuation.
And we used to have a quick-list, but it got deleted when the New Hawtness 2.0 was implemented.

For every polite member on this site, there are about 6 million idiots. The latter will be posting images of goodness knows what, 24/7, and [img] tags just aren't worth the mental scarring.

The site won't "upgrade" until hell freezes over. It's been unanimously decided (and by "unanimous" I mean "singlehandedly") by Achronos.

I don't understand really. You say you want your threads to look nice, yet in the same breath you say you need revolting text colours, dozens of equally unreadable fonts and obnoxious emoticons.

Half of the reason why there's none of the above is because then the forum would look like a jumbled mess.

Your post should be judged by the content of your words, not by how much crap you cram into it to for attention.

This is basically me reiterating what Achronos has said, but it's very ideal for a site as large as Bungie.net. Personally, I don't mind emoticons on my own forum, [img] tags are great when all (well... most) the members can be trusted not to post pr0n. However, that's because there's a difference between a private forum and a game developers website.

I work here: Sound Devices, LLC. We make bad-ass field audio gear, and you think that's awesome. My messy desk (With work-related items on the computer screen).

One does not simply grenade jump into Mordor...

Yeah, whats up with the PHP codes here? I can't figure out how to get a connection to the databases and perform SQL queries!
