OK, I need xbc friends who play basically. im thinking a lot of 2v2 and a few 1v1s... on or offhost works for me.

basically, i played halo 1 today, and it was WAY more fun than halo 2... even with lag.

so, plz, just leave an XBC tag here, or Xlink.

Thanks, and mine is xAfraid for both.

my XBC tag is akid. I haven't been on for a long time but I am thinking about getting a computer solely for playing on XBC.

When I used to play, there was always a problem with lag and games weren't too numerous and it was rare that I would host games. But when we found a good room, believe me, there was nothing like it, except when Halo 2 came out and I began to play XBL and XBC, then everything changed.

Obviously Halo 2's MP is going to be better then Halo 1's MP. Even on XBC. This is because Halo 2 was made for online play. It has all the right stuff to recognize diff comp and internet speeds. Whereas Halo 1 was only set up for a LAN. So when you have someone from a couple hundred miles away of course there is going to be lag. Your Xbox is communicating to the other Xbox as if it was 5 feet away from it not 500. But it was still VERY fun playing last night. I stayed up all night playing and boy did I have a good time.

It's a program that runs on your PC that allows you to play system link games over the internet.

Please Bungie, redeem yourself w/ Reach.
Halo 2 and 3 both stink out loud.
In the immortal words of Mr Horse: Halo 2? No sir, didn't like it.

I haven't used XBC in like a year. Has anything been done/discovered to decrease the lag?
I reinstalled Halo PC and hooked up my hacked xbox controller and the lag on that is a joke. Custom Edition is way better but there is no one playing...

Bah I just want my fix of Halo CE MP!! Bungie, release it for XBL dang it.

Nothing can ever be done to XBC to decrease the lag when the game is at fault. Halo CE was released before Xbox Live was created so it was intended only for a high speed LAN not over the internet. Play a game made for online play like Halo 2 over XBC and you'll notice very little lag compared to Halo CE.

I guess what I meant is have there been any modifications made to Halo CE itself (like optimizing packets etc). I guess this would constitute a mod. I realize XBC is what it is, a vlan type program with a lobby. I also realize the issue is with Halo CE itself not being designed for net play only LAN.

I don't really like Halo 2 so unfortunately that's not a viable option... Halo2CE however, that seems OK. Wonder if anyone is playing with that mod? Seems to have died on the vine. Shame.

BonerElites

we usually have 2 and always play off-host... So send me a message and we'll play... I wish Bungie would like post a day on the website and name it like "official halo 1 on XBC" day so maybe it'll get more ppl to play atleast until the release of h3...

"He's already pulled over....he can't pull over any further!" supertroopers

I love me some H1 on XBC but 2v2 gets a lil repetitive. I can host 4 boxes easily so i usually like to run at least 3v3.

my XBC is Beermancardo for anyone who wants to add me
