I've posted this on the xbox site, but thought it would also be a good idea to post it here.

This is an email i sent to xbox.

Let me know what you all think

Hi Xbox

Came up with this idea and thought I'd send it to you

Windows Media Player for Xbox

I have loads of mp3's on my computer and love using windows media player to rip cd's and playback my mp3's especially the fact that it's so easy to catalogue files.

I've got a few tracks on my Xbox, which I have to say was really annoying to do. Ripping the tracks is ok, but you have to then enter each album name manually and then label each track manually.

Is it possible to use the technology in windows media player to upgrade the Xbox music player to be able to search for track listing and even album art and visualisation as in media player.

If this is possible you could make it either a download for Xbox live users (free would be good but we know you have to cover costs)

Or

As an addition to the Xbox live starter kits (May increase sales!)

Please let me know what you think

Buy xbox music mixer. It has a transfer tool that lets you transfer music from your PC to your xbox.

the only -blam!- thing about it is you can only use it with Windows Media Player 9. I have windows 98 so WMP 9 series doesn't work on my computer so i can't transfer mp3's to my pc.

??? xbox music mixer doesn't require windows media player to transfer music to the xbox. if you are talking about making mp3s from cds then there are several good free tools out there that do it too. Audiograbber comes highly recommended from yours truely.
