Ok, if, and this is hypothetical, we used 100% of our brains, then what would a doctor have to gain by saying we only use ten percent? How about a scientist? Why? What is so special for them to "lie" to us? My mother is a doctor. Not one of the RICH kind, but we're well to do. Why does it say, in all the medical books, that we only use 10%? For propaganda? For what!? I can understand if a supposed hypnotist said we only use 10%, read my book to use more. He has somthing to gain. I HIGHLY doubt medical books, files, and records would say we only use 10% if it was lying. And as to my other post, I was j/k about that "we use the important part". Yes, I'm sure we MAY use all of our brain over a course of time. But not all at once. Therefore, we only use 10% (or 6, whatever.)
You're confusing "lie" with "mistake."
Do not take what you find in science books to be true - ever. It's all merely thought of as 'true at the time.' It's not infallable, and don't get your panties in a bunch because someone tries to show it's incorrect.
"The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently."
Questioning the truth of a 'fact' is not suggesting that it's a lie. It's merely suggesting that it could be in error.
