here's what comes with my package:
2 Computer monitors- One Sceptre 17" LCD monitor and a 15" Flatscreen monitor
Xoxide blue fire Case
Rosewill 600 Volt PSU.
3.40 Pentium D processor (dual core)
1 GHz (2 x 512MB) Dual Channel DDR2 RAM (800 MHz Bus speed)
NVIDIA eVGA GeForce 8800GTS 640MB of Video RAM
250 GB SATA Hard Drive
powerboard motherboard- something to note is that it is NOT SLI compatible, and the socket type is LGA 775.
Sony 2.1 Surround sound speakers with one sub-woofer
A Sound Blaster Audigy soundcard.
And an External DVD R drive.

The operating system on this PC is Windows Vista Home Premium Edition.

There are also a couple of Operating System CDs I'm going to include with this. Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and the updrade CD for Windows Vista Home Premium Edition.

Bugs to note: I can't get microphones working with the sound blaster audigy card, and I still haven't figured out how to get on-board sound working even after getting some A+ certified guys looking at it. that's about it.

you can see a photo of the PC here, Mind you this is before I bought the nice sound system.

Would you say that my PC is worth the price tag?

wait, the mobo isn't SLI compatible, should the price stay at $1300?

Honestly I doubt you'd get that much. It's a good system but your processor speed is lacking. That plus the mobo not being SLI compatible means there's pretty much no room to upgrade without completely gutting the thing. With the extras, I'd say you'd get $1,100.00 max. You might find someone desperate (and stupid) enough to pay more, but due to it's limitations, any hardcore PC gamer wouldn't pay more then that, used anyway. You're better off gutting it and selling the parts. The system as a whole is worth more then it being together, if you still have the boxes, CDs and manuals of course.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

Try OC'ing it and make sure it's at a stable speed, and you could squeeze a little bit more out of it.

Overclock it, and sell the entire PC for over two-thousand dollars.

$1300? Uh uh no way. Sorry, but used PC's don't have much in the way of resale value. Especially since, for $1300, someone could build a better one. Try $1000, but even that might be a stretch.

Wait, was it custom build? If so, I believe he could get $1300 easy, and more if he OC's.

Well, if he's planning on selling all the accessories with it, the speakers, the External DVD-R, and the monitors, maybe $1300. Call me cheap, but I don't think too many people would pay that much for a used computer when they could build a nice new one for roughly the same price.

here's what comes with my package:
2 Computer monitors- One Sceptre 17" LCD monitor and a 15" Flatscreen monitor

wouldn't pay more than $150 for both these, especially since the 15" is old
Posted by: Blood Drunk
Xoxide blue fire Case

no more than $50
Posted by: Blood Drunk
Rosewill 600 Volt PSU.

Rosewill is bottom of the barrel in terms of computer parts, you would be lucky if you got $35 for it.
Posted by: Blood Drunk
3.40 Pentium D processor (dual core)

$50, Pentium Ds arent real dual core and they perform like crap compared to modern CPUS
Posted by: Blood Drunk
1 GHz (2 x 512MB) Dual Channel DDR2 RAM (800 MHz Bus speed)

Not a lot of ram, worth maybe $30
Posted by: Blood Drunk
NVIDIA eVGA GeForce 8800GTS 640MB of Video RAM

the only up to date part, maybe $340 since it's used
Posted by: Blood Drunk
250 GB SATA Hard Drive

Used, $45
Posted by: Blood Drunk
powerboard motherboard- something to note is that it is NOT SLI compatible, and the socket type is LGA 775.

Old and doesnt support modern features such as SLi $50
Posted by: Blood Drunk
Sony 2.1 Surround sound speakers with one sub-woofer

$20
Posted by: Blood Drunk
A Sound Blaster Audigy soundcard.

Not an X-fi and since you mention nothing spectacular about it, I am going to guess it's a low end soundcard $20
Posted by: Blood Drunk
And an External DVD R drive.

$35 is reasonable for a used part

The operating system on this PC is Windows Vista Home Premium Edition.

$100

Who cares, you must include the CDs anyways. Unless you include a license for XP Media Center the CD is damn near worthless.

$800 would be an OK price to ask for this, with half of the cost coming from the 8800 GTS and vista alone.

Why not gut the s h i t you want and start fresh? That card aint cheap.

The resell value on a PC sucks though.. its like tainted goods.

I build High End computers alot for friends and customers in my area. For what you have into this computer I'm going to say this is worth around $700-$800. A couple of your parts are up to par with todays computers but some of the the other componants are out dated. Just to give you some insight on selling used computers, your never going to get what you put in to it. From the moment you use it it drops about 30%-40% in value. The card is good I used it in my last 3 builds but you need to realize that the 8900's are on the horizon and its going to cause a drop in 8800 sales in terms of value by a little bit. The value of the card now $300-$325 Easy. The ram, motherboard and moniters are whats going to kill the price though.
