I believe Bungie put in the super bounces on purpose. He are my top 10 explanations.
1. Bungie released the first superbouncing videos on youtube because they saw Halo 2 dying and they needed to buy time so people wouldn't loose interest in the Halo series
2. People don't just crouch into random places, then jump on random spots
3. This is too big of a "glitch" to just happen
4. Bungie is known for having secrets inside of the game to keep you interested.
5. When the number of people go down in the "Halo 2 players in the last 24 hours" number is on a constant downslope, the number of youutube super bounce videos goes up (also the number of glitch videos).
6. The superbounces weren't figured out until people started to get anxious about the release of Halo 3.
7. People love to "discover" new things, aka wouldn't it be cool to figure out the greatest glitch in video game history.
8. If people are crazy about one game, they'll go to the website to check about all sorts of different things, which allows for a chance to market products.
9. It gives bored players something to do intsead of getting off.
10. it is like the host in a game allow one players advantage over another. so someone with a little less skill won't get frustrated. the person who gets beat then tries to learn super bounces to gain an advantage over another player.
I know this is a lot to read, but I believe I may have stubled upon something. it shows how everthing is driven for the sweet quest for money. It just shows how everything in our world is driven by money. it is not Bungies fault, they are jut stuck in the wave that you have to ride, or you'll get sewpt away. Bungie was just the first person to come up with the genius idea, so other games won't last nearly as long as Halo 2. I have been playing Halo 2 since it's release and I still enjoy it very much. I hope Halo 3 is just as great with just as many great secrets hidden in the game.
p.s. I love to superbounce
