If I were to get a mac book pro and format the hard drive would Vista run and could I find Vista drivers for the hardware inside the beast?

Why would you buy a mac book pro just to get rid of Apple's OS and install vista on it? Get a Dell or something.

I seriously agree.

I love Mac OS X. I don't think I could use it ALL the time, but I wouldn't buy a Mac just to ditch OSX and put Vista on it. It would be hella cheaper to get a notebook with comparable specs from a "PC" company. I definitely would dual boot OSX and Vista.

Yeah, boot with the windows disc, when you select a partition, format the one os x is on and install windows on there. But don't quote me on that, its just an idea of how to do it.

Well, you have to have a Mac to have OS X, don't you?

Yeah, you do have to hae a mca to run (normally, I know you can do it with out it, but I don't have the time, or want to create an emulation for OSX for a pc). And it runs fairly decent, I am not willing to give it OS of the Year though. There are flaws, but I does have a certain essence about it.

And I run vista on Harddrive, whats your point? If I wanted a laptop with one mouse button I would buy a mac, otherwise there are much better laptops out.

It's not that macs are poor computers. It's just that Macs & PCs have different uses. A PC is better at gaming whereas a Mac is better at digital editing and everything associated (video & audio editing).

Whoa. Ok who bumped it lol

Why not just...
Buy a good priced notebook off newegg or tigerdirect, install vista, and then install a prepatched OSX distro.
Result: A cheap, more able mac without the embarassing apple logo?

Oh, and yea...

Macs don't have one button. Have not for some time. And you can use most PC mice and trackballs with a Mac. I say why use a mouse when you can use a BALL.
