I'd like to first point out that if Bungie.net moderators take this post offline, or ban me from the forums, I will take legal action to protect my constitutional right to freedom of speech and press. This is completely necissary, because Bungie doesn't seem to care, and no one else is doing anything about it.

If you'd like to file a complaint with Chicago's Better Business Bureau, just go to this website. What Bungie is doing to users regarding the new maps is immoral business practices and might very well be illegal. Tell the BBB that you're tired of getting the runaround from outsourced customer service! Tell them that you paid money for something you haven't received!

Your freedom of speech does not apply. This is a privately owned forum hosted and paid for by Microsoft/Bungie. They can do whatever they like and you can't do a thing about it. So your threat of legal action is pretty weak given that you have absolutely no idea about law other than what you heard in eighth grade.

It is not Bungie's responsibility to provide technical support with content downloaded from Xbox Live. Take your problem up with Microsoft support.

Ok, so maybe it's not illegal for them to ban me, or delete this post. But what they're doing is extremely immoral and probably illegal at any rate. Go here to make a general complaint about Bungie.

Don't send me group invites.

What exactly are you claiming that they are "doing" that is "immoral and illegal"?

  • 06.15.2007 11:40 AM PDT

Please cite more specific examples. What exactly is it about the new maps that constitutes illegitimate business practices?

  • 06.15.2007 11:42 AM PDT

It is stated in the terms of use and code of conduct that you "have no rights" and because bungie is privately owned and operated there is nothing that you can do about it. If you have a problem is seems like it is with microsoft, or xbox. They are the ones who make and release content and charge you the money. It sounds like you should be taking any problems you have up with them. All bungie does is provide a place to talk about the games and look at the stats for the game. They clearly list what can be discussed and remove any and all post that violate the rules, trying to provide a place for discussion, that is also ok for kids to use.

You took the words right out of my mouth. To the OP, learn your -blam!- before you try and run your mouth. Freedom of speech and press on a privately owned business' website, wow...you're a joke.

LOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLLOLLOLOLOLOLL

It's illegal to use a credit card? The Xbox material could not be used for the 360 MS points, if that's what you're attacking.

It's called business kid. Every company is like that, they need money or they wouldn't exist. Bungie didn't even make the maps.

You sound like a corny law offices commercial.

OMG LEGAL ACTION IF BANT!!!

Also, Bungie does care, they updated the banhammer, they made a Halo 3 Beta, etc. We're lucky we got more maps.

If it's having to pay ONLY $4 for the new maps you a whining about.
1.Bungie didn't make those maps Certain affinity did.
2.They have to charge for the maps. How else are they going to get money for future projects?
3.It's only $4.

You are way off track here. Lets set something straight.

First and fore most I am first going to take into assumption that you are talking about the new maps. Next I am going to take into assumption that you have attempted to DL the maps but cannot and are looking to cry out and make people follow you.

Now considering that you don't seem to know what your talking about and you haven't done your homework you would know that Bungie isn't a member of the BBB which you can find here, so your complaints will fall on def ears.

Second like others have stated, this is a private forum. They can do what ever they want to you.

Third, Bungie didn't publish the maps, Microsoft did. Microsoft collects your $4 and spends it on the XBL network upgrades and maintenence. Bungie didn't even create the maps. Stop whinning, and yes we all know that XBL support sucks most of the time. There really isn't much you can do untill the maps become free. I'm sure you won't have a problem at that point.
