Try not gettin pissed off about it. I play best when I'm not nervous or anything. If you put too much pressure on yourself youre bound to mess up. I SUCK HORRIBLY at Halo but at Halo 2 I'm much better. I dunno why but I am. Perhaps you haven't found a good fighting style for yourself. Learn the way you best play and go with it.

What you need to do is start with the Campaign, that can give you the basics and you can go through different levels, gradually getting better. Also, the ranking system probably hasn't established itself yet b/c the game is only 2 weeks old and there are still some masters who are ranked as newbs, so DON'T GET PISD OFF TOO QUIK TO GIVE THE GAME A CHANCE. All of the people you've played are probably people who already know what their doing from Halo, in a little while there will be people who's friend told them to get the game who will be real newbs, so don't lose hope. Trust me i beat all of H1's campaign on legendary and i've beaten Lvl. 2 of H2 on legendary, i've got some exp.

Don't get pissed. You're never going to have fun if you're worried about the outcome. Just calm down. If someone sticks you, laugh. If they are a dirty trash talker, then they don't deserve to be listened to anyway. Also, form a clan. Not only can you play custom matches with them to practice, but you can play Clan Matches. The few clan matches that I've played have been easy to the point of ridiculousness.

Ppl always beat me in system link on Halo, and me n my mates are having our first Halo 2 fest on Saturday! I am gonna get whooped by them as usual, even though I have completed Halo on Legendary 7 times and Halo 2 on Heroic once. Multiplayer is totally different, tho, as ppl will use the dirtiest, most underhand tactics just to brag at your from across the room (eg, jump sniping, bunny hopping, camping on spawn point/teleporters etc). The easist way to kill ppl on any map on Halo is to just simply run around the edges of the map and kill the snipers (works for me most of the time). If you play system link, find out tyour mates weaknesses and use them to your advantage, if online simply memorise where the health packs and rocket launchers are! (bad advice i kno, but every1 finds their own strategies for coping wiv competitive morons who think that winning a computer game is actually a great acheivement. Ppl like that don't play it for fun, so they make it unenjoyable for themselves and others, which is a lose-lose situation, is it not?)
