You get xlink here. Its a better one than XBC, alot less lag. It tells you where to get it at the post at the top of this forum called how to play halo online.

What is XBC? What is Xlink? Have any of you heard of an internet search engine like Google?

I am almost certain that the lag is the exact same. It is all about the UPLOAD speed of the hosting box. There is nothing a tunneling program can do to speed up the H1 LAN programming. Xlink, in my opinion, is no better or worse, but XBC is where it all started.

Please Bungie, redeem yourself w/ Reach.
Halo 2 and 3 both stink out loud.
In the immortal words of Mr Horse: Halo 2? No sir, didn't like it.

I wouldn't have believed that if I hadn't just tried xlink. I played a lag free game with 2 other people and I was hosting w/ a 256 upload. I run the xlink stuff on my linux box which is plugged into a wireless bridge. Not a stitch of lag for me and the other players said they didn't have any either much to my amazement. XBC seemed much more laggy. Not sure what to attribute it to, xlink, linux, who knows...

Problem w/ xlink is there is *no one* on there. :( XBC has a few more people playing Halo CE but not many more.

I doubt Bungie would open source it soon, but maybe someday they could.

I've had lag free games on XBConnect also. Using a few games against the same people really isn't a good test. I've only tried XLink once, and couldn't find anyone to play, so I ditched it and went back to XBConnect.
