Subject: The lazy link epidemic.

I know this sounds snobby, but if someone doesn't lazy link, I see that as a link that I don't give a rat's ass about. But using the word "epidemic" is a little strong, most people on B.net do lazy link. Like I said, the one's who don't? Who cares what they're linking.

I do it for Ada

I have returned

I think they just need the text markups on the right side again when you reply. There is alot of empty space there.

Really? I only get about a centimeter of empty space.

I'm curious as to why this forum doesn't automatically link "Http://" text like some forums do. It would be a handy feature.

I'm kind of opposed to auto-linking, just because it takes away a small degree of control. I'm weird like that. But it would be nice to bring back the massive wall-O-text markups next to post creation.

Or add a small peice of javascript to the "Submit" and "Preveiw" functions that parses links and adds link BB code onto the string.

They could add a word filter replacing [img] with [url] and <a href with [url].
NOOOOOO they are not filtering IMG are you insaine. My caption contests would be ruined, if they put that into practice I am personally going to set mum on you. She gets pretty cranky when bungie doesn't satisfy her, you'll see...

dude... img tag doesn't even work...
See, it just says image removed. Instead they could at least replace it with [url] tags..

Plus, URL Link extention ftw!
Yes it does. On groups there is a glitch, trust me...

"That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try how and why."

Just ignor them, if link is not good enough to be posted right, it's probably not good enough to be examined.

I personally don't consider it to be big deal, it only takes a couple extra seconds to copy and paste the URL into our address bar. I'm sure that we've all got important things to do over the course of a couple seconds, right?

If anything, it would just be easy if the HTML tags list was put back next to the text boxes. If new users can't take the time to figure out lazy links from that, then we're just wasting our time trying to tell them to do it.

It is not a big deal for me. Someone seems to always post one eventually.
