OK! everyone ready for the redundant thing? halo 2 will not split horizontally EVEN though i have a 4:3 monitor AND in the XBOX 360 dashboard settings i have it set to 4:3. so... WTF? Halo 2 thinks i have a wide-screen monitor but I DONT!!!!

my setup is this: i have a vga cable for my 360 connected to a switch box which then connects to my monitor. my monitor is a DELL 19in LCD.

anything will help, really. i have already tried messing with different settings and seeing what happened, but that was a no go. (in the dashboard).

Is it supposed to split horizontal? Every time I've played Multi player, on a normal or HDTV, its always split vertical (side by side)

It happened with my friends and mine too. All I did was go to the dashboard display settings and change the setting to normal as opposed to widescreen. If you have an HDTV, you may have to change the setting to 1080p when you play Halo 2.

Well that happens to me but i wasnt on my 360 and then i cant go onto dashboard (cos not 360) so what do i do.

He's using a VGA cable so he doesn't have TV resolutions like 1080p and 480p available.

Is the problem still there when you plug the 360 straight in and leave the splitter out?
