Someday I'll learn to stop screwing around with things that aren't broken. But until then, I need a little help.

I went into the xbox live dashboard and changed my gamertag. Now, here at bungie.net, my profile is showing the old gamertag, which of course doesn't exist anylonger at xbox live, so no stats are showing up.

What do I need to do to fix this so that my bungie.net account points to the correct gamertag and I can review my stats?

Many thanks in advance!

If the new gamertag is hooked to the same Windows Live ID it will fix itself shortly. The data is cached so it takes a little while for it to be refreshed. until then you can access your Halo 2 stats at http://www.bungie.net/Stats/PlayerStatsHalo2.aspx?player=Your GamerTag

If it's attached to a different ID, don't use this BNet account for 120 days and make a new one. (you can make the new one before the 120 days)

* How is it that "Fat Chance" and "Slim Chance" mean the same thing?
* If you choke a Smurf, what color will it turn?

It's a year now actually.

But yes, just wait for it to refresh.

First, you must clear your cache in the specific browser that you use to login to Bungie.net. Once that is complete, login into your account and after a short period it should update your profile automatically. If it does not, there are two things you may do to fix this issue.

You may access Xbox Live, and play one game of Halo 2 online, and the Bungie.net statistics should instantly transfer your new name to your designated profile once the game has recorded successfully. If you are continuing to experience problems, you should visit the Windows Live Account Help website here or contact the Xbox Live Technical Support Team here.
