When playing as the arbiter, I have been having a problem everytime I retrieve the Icon, and get shot off the edge by the Brute. After this cut scene ends, I get a message saying "Sorry, Please insert your original Halo 2 disk" (or something close to that). I have got this message both with the disk in the drive, and the waiting till I get the message, and inserting the disk, but it never works. It says I can continue, but I won't gain acheivements. Now, achievements are not a big deal, but the tech geek in me wants to figure this out. Anyone else had this problem? I even decided it was time for a fresh install, re-installed Windows Vista, installed a fresh copy of Halo 2, and played back thru to this point, where I get the message again. I got my disk when Circuit City was selling them early, are there problems with this early disk??? I really don't know what else to try.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

Corrupt files? But any ways, try and download someones user file that has finished the game and get any further then that one, then it would atleast tell you that is the only corrupted map file.

I'm having the same problem and I too bought mine at Circuit City before the recall. Is there any way Bungie or Microsoft can put out a patch for those of us that have corrupted disks?
