I do it for Ada

I have returned

Would it be possible to have an option to have our Gamerpic from Xbox Live as our display picture? It would ad some variety to the Display pictures. If it isn't too much of a hassle for the programmers, It would also be great if our friends could see our Personal picture as well.

I think he means using Gamer pictures, not Personal pictures.

Don't send me group invites.

I don't have a camera myself, but I think you can put pictures you take with your xbox camera as your gamer picture.

That would be a Personal pic.

Gamer pic = the pic displayed on xbox.com and shows up for people who aren't on your friends list.
Personal pic = only people on your Friends List can see the picture.

I think you should have a choice between which you show.

I personally like the selection of the current avatars.

Well, excuse me for not having an Xbox.
What, exactly, is a gamer pic? Is it a pic loaded from a website, or something like the H2 emblems that are generated on-site?

You're excused.

If you look at the right-hand side of this screen you will see the following sections, from top to bottom; Player Hub, Find by Gamertag, Xbox Live Gamercard, and Halo 2 Stats Info. Under the section labelled "Xbox Live Gamercard", you will see a yellow box. The picture displayed in that yellow-titled, grey box, which varies from user to user, is what is commonly known as a "gamerpic".

If gamerpic's were to be used on this site, it would take away from the Bungie-ness of it all. People would choose their GoW gamerpic and people would hate other people for that and I think it would just cause too much trouble. This way, everyone has the same exact choices, and they're all Bungie related so no one dislikes another person based solely off of their display picture. So, in conclusion to my extremely short paragraph, in the words of Foman, "I respectfully disagree."

You say tomato; I say potato.

I think it is a great idea. I wouldn't use it, but it wouldn't hurt seeing some different graphics every now and then.

That's a can of worms we don't need to even think about opening.

Gamer pictures are 64x64 pixels. The avatars that are used on these forums are 90x90 pixels. Having smaller avatars (gamer pictures) would look out of place.

I'm still a little fuzzy. Gamerpics are specific to individual games? They are selected from a pool, much like B.net's?

Also, due to the resolution differences, I agree that they should not be allowed.

Off topic: But I wish I knew how to make my own Gamerpic because I don't plan on getting MS Points for the Halo 3 ones I want. Photoshop something and upload... BAM done.
