Since no one has done it before, i am creating a comprehensive, round-table, blue ribbon discussion on brutes. Are brutes naturally violent, or is it a desperate cry for attention? Are they damn dirty apes or just filthy space monkeys? And why do they wear such funny little metal helmets? Is it a sports cup strapped to their forehead? And why can it block .50 cal sniper fire? I can't find anything like that at Sports Authority. If you stole a banana from a Brute would it go into Beserker mode to get it back? I need answers to these pressing questions! Please discuss.

With hunters around, you need a cup that can withstand .50 cal sniper rifle rounds...its just common sense after all. And only natural they think everythings a hat, as they are monkeys.

They look too fake though, like they are made of brown playdoh, they need to look dirtier, like they are unclean monkey men, not well shaved gentlement with grenade launchers

Its rumored that Jiraliee or whatever their real name is means :retard

Brutes are NOT smart. Thats why they follow the prophets blindly, and their weapon of choice, the brute shot, is no more complecated than a nerf gun. I kinda want to paper mache a nerf gun to make a brute shot, but meh.

ohoo..im havin fun with this topic...

Here' s a question. I noticed that a headshot on a Brute may knock the tin monkey cup off their head. Usually I only notice this after they are dead. When this happens is it the fatal shot to the head that knocks it off or does it take one shot to knock it off and another to kill it. Head shots with the carbine do seem to work fairly well against them.

Typically I just shoot them with the Carbine and if they go into Berserk then fill them with needles.

Recent archealogical studies have revealed more about Brute history, most notably the lineage of their rulers. And so sayeth the Book of the Ape in Chapter 1, verses 2-9,
"In the beginning there was the Almighty Kong, and it was good. Then the Almighty Kong begat a son, who was known throughout the land as King Kong. King Kong begat Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong begat Diddy Kong, Diddy Kong begat Curious George, Curious George begat Furious George, Furious George begat the Bungie Ape, and the Bungie Ape begat Tartarus, smelliest of hammer-wielding apes, who begat the greatest of apes, our Lord and Savior, Dr. Zaius."

In response to your question Aculeus, you must first knock off the monkey cup in order to shoot them in the head. How you do this is up to you . I found that if you distract them with a banana or jangle shiny keys in front of them, they will be too distracted to notice you stealing the afforementioned monkey cup. Works every time. The shinier the keys the better.
