I'm a little old for toys, but I'll probably check it out and maybe even buy some for my little cousin or for myself as collectables.

Phrog pilots, reckless and free. We would strap into our birds, set the engines on fire, and leave these earthly bonds with a chorus of WHOP WHOP WHOP. Akin to beating your chest and howling in defiance at the rest of the world.

so what this story is telling me is that the new toymaker will cheap out by making them smaller and less detailed and try to increase profits by appealing to a broader range of consumers?

You've got to be -blam!- kidding me
Have you ever seen their work before? They have the best and most detailed toys I have ever seen.
I was going to say the same thing, just not as nicely. Someone who refers to McFarlane Toys as a " sub-par toymaker " has obviously never even seen their work.

The Joyride figures are great and all but I have always wished that McFarlane was doing the Halo line. His work is absolutely astounding and just beautiful to see so I was just tickled to find out he would be working on the Halo 3 line. (I still have a buttload of Spawn comics and toys in storage from my college days.)

Plus, as a hockey fan I always liked the fact that McFarlane was a dead ringer for Brendan Shanahan.

It's not the coffee in my cup, it's the dead spartan in my garage.

Being nerdy is something you have to feel deep within. I'm sorry that you don't feel it the way I do, it's liberating and empowering. Just so you know, playing sports doesn't make you not nerdy; not wanting to be a nerd makes you not nerdy.

If you think that McFarlane figures are good quality, you obviously haven't seen a lot of figures yet. Especially japanese figuremakers like Kayodo make McFarlane's look like cheap toys. Here's an example for their quality: Gungrave figure, 10 inch tall, I have this one at home, it's a beauty
Now THAT'S the kind of quality I want to see with Halo3 figures!

A witty signature you say ! ? well at the moment i have nothing witty that springs to mind, so sory..................nope still nothing.......

Sounds sweet!

Be interesting to see how authentic these figures are, and also how many points of articulation they will allow seeing as they are a little smaller. I'll pick one of them up as a little souvenir for the relies of the game.

Cheers Luke.

Don't feed the monkey!!!!

Check out www.spawn.com. The site has photos of every figure they have ever made. I thought the joyride figures looked like children's toys. McFarlane figures look like highly detailed sculptures.

They might be smaller, but they have a lot more detail than other figures. This guy is a McFarlane hater.

I tried to sign my signature here but the pen busted off in my screen.
:(

I'm surprised anyone, especially McFarlane and Bungie, would refer to these as toys. I have some of the Alien and Matrix figures by McFarlane and put them on display as "works of art", not "toys". I don't know of any company that has better work. Seriously, it's amazing.

wow, my dick broke so i ain't getting it for a while!

UPDATE: Defnop552 has confirmed he has fixed his dick.

I sure as hell hope this dude makes the figures better than Joyride did.

All the ones I got fell apart at the "ceaves" so to speak, true LOW quallity action figure right there.

Hope to god this guy does justice to the figures.

Are you kidding?

Last thing you have to worry about from TMP is bad figures.
