Hi, I just completed Halo 2 on xbox, normal difficulty, and all I can say is... where's the ending? I mean talk about set yourself up for a sequel, but you've basically given us half a story, with a hundred loose ends and some serious questions unanswered. Most of my questions equate to exclamations starting in "what the", followed by an obsecenity, followed by "just happened?", "is that?", "is he/she/it".

Don't get me wrong, I love Halo 2. But at the end, I feel like, it's my favourite book, and someone's torn out the last chapter and said "well, we need this for Halo 3, sorry". At least Halo(1) had some sort of ending, i.e. Halo gone, flood gone, heading for Earth. Halo 2's ending feels like you worked your ass off for however many hours of gameplay, building up and building up, and then just as you ready to Really get going, it's like a metaphorical 'To be continued'. Bit of an anti-climax that.

I also watched the bonus DVD. I couldn't help but notice a developer testing what seemed like a fully working copy of Halo 2 on a PC. Now, obviously I know this is just Halo 2 xbox played on PC using an emulator, but my point is, if it's that easy to make a PC play an Xbox game... well, I'll leave that up to you to ponder. All I can say is it warmed my heart to see Halo 2 being played with a mouse and WASD.

Actually I know the scene of which you speak, and more than likely that person was using an Xbox DevKit which allows you to use a keyboard, mouse and PC monitor...
Laterz...

This just means that we'll all go crazily impatient waiting for Halo3. Which happens to be good marketing on Bungie's part.
I work at Target, this kind thing is real common in a popular series.
You will find the Multiplayer Mode, just enough to keep you occupied until the next installment. When it does the reaction should be pretty frenzied. Good luck.

(And this really should be in New Mombossa) :)

Yah, yah. Still really ticks you off though. I think they just wanted us to be sastisfied with what they COULD release into a mainly online multiplayer game. They want to keep us on the edge of our seats! Think about it movie wise, and it all makes perfect sense. HALO 3 IS GOING TO KICK AFT AND BE THE WAR ON EARTH WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! I am just happy I can kick butt online and not have to play on a mouse and keyboard, controllers are so much easier! Yeah, this should be on New Mombossa:)

Well I wanted to hear informative, intelligent opinions, and to actually have people listen to what I had to say, so I came to the PC forum instead of the console one :P
Lol but seriously I'm a PC gamer, Halo 2 is the only game I've played on xbox for about 6 months. I guess I came to The Maw out of habbit. I finished Halo 2 in 6 days, in fact 5 since I didn't play it for one of those days. It seemed disappointingly short. Judging by the DVD, this is because they had to cut a lot of it out to get the game published in time. Shame, really, I can't blame Bungie if they were under time pressure. I also worry that the PC version won't be expanded to include all the things the designers wanted to put in, simply because it'd annoy their xbox fans.

Btw that developer guy was playing Halo 2 in windowed mode, in windows XP (or some very similar OS) it wasn't an xbox using a PC's monitor, it was a PC.
