Hi, I just completed Halo 2 on xbox, normal difficulty, and all I can say is... where's the ending? I mean talk about set yourself up for a sequel, but you've basically given us half a story, with a hundred loose ends and some serious questions unanswered. Most of my questions equate to exclamations starting in "what the", followed by an obsecenity, followed by "just happened?", "is that?", "is he/she/it".
Don't get me wrong, I love Halo 2. But at the end, I feel like, it's my favourite book, and someone's torn out the last chapter and said "well, we need this for Halo 3, sorry". At least Halo(1) had some sort of ending, i.e. Halo gone, flood gone, heading for Earth. Halo 2's ending feels like you worked your ass off for however many hours of gameplay, building up and building up, and then just as you ready to Really get going, it's like a metaphorical 'To be continued'. Bit of an anti-climax that.
I also watched the bonus DVD. I couldn't help but notice a developer testing what seemed like a fully working copy of Halo 2 on a PC. Now, obviously I know this is just Halo 2 xbox played on PC using an emulator, but my point is, if it's that easy to make a PC play an Xbox game... well, I'll leave that up to you to ponder. All I can say is it warmed my heart to see Halo 2 being played with a mouse and WASD.
