I have a friend that uses 9. The thing goes so damn fast that sometimes when he has a shotgun and spins around to shoot somebody, his reticle targets the person before the shotgun gets there. When he fires sometimes he shoots like 5 feet to the side. Most of the time he uses a pistol though. He's the best Halo player I've ever seen. He takes people out with 3 shots from the pistol almost every single time. It's freaking crazy.

I use 8. I would set it higher, but it gets too damn fast to snipe. Also, I ALWAYS have problems with my rockets shooting sideways at 90 degree angles from where I'm aiming. wtf

I use 10, I just hope they have incremental turning speeds in halo 2 with no limit. 10 is getting a little sluggish for me and my friends.

I use 10 as well. At my weekly LAN parties ( i dont have them anymore) we would always play a few hours of Shotguns, and you couldnt ever win if you couldnt turn around fast enough.

Halo was designed for 3, 3 is fine if everyone uses it, but 10 is much better but unbalances the noobs from the pros even more. I see people complaining about how they can't snipe with it. It's not hard to do, with a bit of practice. If you don't wanna get schooled in multiplayer just run through legendary with it, by the time you are done you should have the feel.

i don't understand how any1 can use over about 8, because you lose controll... even my friends that have competed in tournies have said this too

I use ten. That extra 1 over the 9 is the difference between getting the kill or getting killed. I only started playing xbox connect with my cuz a few weeks ago (who is a pro btw, probably better than most of the elites here) and I couldn't even keep up with him because I was using 8, but when I switched to ten I was able to get at least second in kill rankings, most of the time. The funny thing is that I was the first to get Halo about 2 years ago, and when we played I would smoke all my friends because I used 10 (back then), and they were still using 3. But for about a year I haven't been able to pick up a xbox controller, and now my cuz is smoking me at every fight. I had to get used to 10 again before I could use it properly, and I still can't snipe as well as I used to, but I'm getting there.

LOL...just stick with what feels comfortable...it seriously won't make you a better player. Our worst freind of ours at Halo uses 10....It doesn't say a hell of a lot about your skill. I play at 3-5 and I'm very content with that. Unless you have the skills to move 1000 miles an hour, then I might turn it up.

I use the Gamester FPS Master Controller, set at 5, or 6.

I guess its different for everyone, but I find that the faster turning speed DOES add an advantage if you can handle it. Once I got used to it again I found it was actually easier to get head shots (except when sniping, which I can't seem to master again)

Wow, i always have used a 6 and i have no problem with it. I always win my matches with my friends and really never gave the look sensitivity a thought. i will give it a shot and see if my game improves.
