Subject: MC carrying 3 WEAPONS?

In the 2004 E3 demo, about 2:13 into the demo, the part where MC kills the elite and walks over to pick up his energy sword, it is clear that he throws down the two weapons he is holding (a needler and an SMG) to pick up the energy sword. The guys says, "I'll save this for later", and switches to a battle rifle. This means that MC was carrying the battle rifle while he was carrying the needler and the SMG. Am I horrible misinformed about something?

good observation, but you will not have 3 to choose from all the time, when you switch weapons it will automatically discard the left-handed wield, and you will be left with 2 ( im pretty sure)

When you duelwield it only counts as one wepon set.

No, this happened in halo 1 also. If you only have one gun and you go swap with two guns right under you, you can pick up both at the same time. It's kinda annoying sometimes and really helpful other times.

Yes, you can carry three weapons. You dual-wield 2 while you still have your secondary weapon.

This was a glitch and only happened at one spot in the campaign mode....

I think that in HALO 2 if u duel wield 2 differents set of wepons you could have 4 wepons at a time.

no...... actually watch the '04 demo again and you will see under the ammo it says to hold X to pick up the sword AND the battle rifle. They both appear under the ammo indicater. go watch again.

This would mean you could carry 4 weapons.....(each set counts as one).....

well you were wrong in the first place, he throws down the needler and the smg and picks up the energy sword and the battle rifle, then he says ill save this for later (referiing to the energy sword cus he pulls it out later) and he pulls out the battle rifle, so he does no carry three wepons.

God, nobody has phrased this right: You normally have 2 weapons, mkay? You can pick up an additional weapon to dual wield, but when you try to switch to your secondary (the other gun you originally had), you will drop the second weapon of the dual wield. Capeesh?

no, because when you pick up a second weapon to dual wield you drop the other gun you weren't using that was in your inventory, so only two weapons.

I missed it the first few times watching it too. I actually considered creating a post just like this untill I noticed him swapping two guns for two guns in the demo.

All I know is that the mini icons under the ammo indicator for both the sword and BR appeared adn that he swapped two for two.

ok guys This is what i THINK

when u have 2 weapons one 1 handed one tw ohanded and u have the one handed out and u pick up a duel wield u dont lose your second weapon until u press y to drop the left weapon and use the 2 handed weapon

well i recon that in the movie he probably wasnt holding 2 weapons from the start. all he had was the smg and nothing in the second slot. when he dropped the smg and needler he picked up the Plasma Sword and the AR. i dont think that if u r already holding 2 weapons and u duel weild that the second gun drops, go wastch the E3 03 movie again.

just an idea

No, he dumped the needler when he picked the sword up.

In the e3 2003 demo, the master chief held a battle rife and two SMGs at the same time. In the multiplayer demo, after he kills the elite with a needler and SMG, the elite drops a battle rife and the energy sword. When he walks over the battle rife it says that he picked up 180 rounds for it. So, he was definately carrying the needler and the smg, and also the battle rifle. He threw down the dual weapons, and picked up the sword; while still having the battle rifle. He didnt pick both up at the same time.

Pyro! you can NOT say that, because you are not staff... so, keep for ideas to yourself, unless your staff or just thinking... don't say something is a fact, as you may be right, but you could also be wrong

Well if you look carefully at the 2k4 e3 demo, you see the cheif walk over the BR and it says "You picked ammo for the Battle Rifle" ( not exact). AS for carring 3 weapons we have nothing to prove that you drop the second weapon if you switch weapons.
