Who let the tards out? Do you guys even understand the point I was arguing? Tell me where I said MLG players don't deserve contracts. Please quote it for me. And the two teenagers sending each other myspace links of themselves, neither of you have ever had a real job. You guys have no credibility in this discussion.

.....oh, I haven't.........and you know how? This point last year, I was working two jobs at the same time, working 5/6 days a week. How about trying to balance that with school, basketball, baseball, etc. Those links weren't for YOU Navillus. They were mainly towards Flipster, and how he said things along the lines of all of us who think pro gamers are pimply fat kids.

You've been mature thsi entire discussion, and I've givenm you credit for it, time after time. I've never insulted you, called out your credibility. But way to throw that all down the drain in one post. I have just as much credibility in this discussion as you, okay?

83K per year is what they make with the contract alone. They make a hell of a lot more than 83K per year if you include tourny wins, lessons etc.

Like I said earlier, 10 total people in the world make this much. So drop it. This thread is not about who makes how much money anyway.

Okay, I've gone through that when I was in high school as well, balancing jobs with school, volleyball, soccer, and basketball. In all honesty, high school jobs can't be compared to careers or any type of year round work... and I know you would agree with that, right?

Appologies for the 'tard' comment, but it's a pet peve when people fly off on tangents un-related to the subject.

If you think about it Navillus, wouldn't you have a lack of credibility, in that you've never been or on the brink of getting paid to actually do this. I'm in the same boat. I've had a job, but I've never been to an event, so I haven't experienced both sides. So shouldn't we take it from people who have, like walshy, and Zach, who have worked AND gone to events. Wouldn't they have the moist credibility on the matter. Because me and you can sit on the sidelines and judge what its like to be a competitive gamer, but do either of us really know?

He may not have credibility in your eyes....but I do. Im 27 and Ive had a career for a long time now. The only thing I seek in this conversation is that someone give me evidence against mine and Pandemic's case.

MLG = GLITCHERS = NOOBS

But some of thepros are still good but most suck because they all glitchs

I would be ashamedto be in Mlg because i Double shot or BxR or qaud shot.

But still most pros are still goood with out them.

What the hell are you trying to say kid? Most of the pros suck "because they all glitchs" and later you contradict your own statment by saying "most pros are still good without them (glitches)".

Why is glitching such a problem for you in MLG? Its not on XBL and even Bungie cant say what they do at their own tournaments as far as glitching goes. Just because youre too stupid to do simple things like push buttons, or spell for that matter dosnent mean that the people who can suck. I PROMISE YOU that if you play against any decent MLG player even without button glitches youll still get pooped on. Go home kid, this game is better off without you.

I've been paid to play semi-pro soccer in Chicago...and paid for winning volleyball tournaments....so no.. I don't see much of a difference. Still don't consider it work or a job, ESPECIALLY if its not what I do for a career or full time.

Ahhh great another little topic where the anti pros can say how much they hate pros and their fans can defend them and we can all have a nice and pointless argument about this - congratulations to however made this topic I'm sure you did not see this one comming :O.

As a side note: Anyone who entertains people is performing a job i.e. giving back to society. Street entertainers, MLG pros, football players, actors it's all the same.

LOL Karma's gamertag isn't MLG xKarma. Anyone you see with a gamertag like xX I am Walshy Xx or iTz OgRe 2 is just a poser.

Karma's gamertag right now is Traumaone I think.

Two bums fighting on the side of the road is entertaining. Does that mean they are performing a job and giving back to society?

That's the thing- you may not see it as a job, but some people do. Notice we're not trying to change your opinion, but you anti-MLG debaters sure seem to want to change ours.

We're just asking that you respect their decision to game, and not look down on them as miscreants of society or something like that. They're not losers, they're not rejects. They're just professional gamers who work to prepare for tournaments so they can make money.

That's all.

If they are doing legally and getting paid for it - yes.

Are the bums getting paid to fight? Is there a competetion to see who is the best fighting bum on the streets? Do the bums have tournaments and sign their fighters to contracts? Do the bums have tons of fans?

If your answer is yes then yes, bum fighting is a sport. You may not like it but you sure as hell arent giving a very good argument.

Giving back to society as in ummmm...ENTERTAINMENT!

I didn't want to give the impression that I'm Anti-MLG or ever thought that these guys were crap or whatever. I play just as many games as they or you guys do. Honestly, its a hell of a lot better than sitting in front of my TV mindlessly watching shows / movies. The only reason I post here is my opinion on whether or not it should be considered a job or a sport. Thats all.
