Ok, none, however, gaming is included....
Do you find that controversial though?
I mean I can call myself an athlete, when I'm morbidly obese , because I play Halo 2?
Well our perception of what an athlete is, is a direct descendant of what yesterday's preception of people playing yesterdays games. In 1930, did they have xboxes? No they went out and played games against eachother. They played football, basketball, boxed, golfed a little lol, and many other things that involved a physical game. No today we have electronics, we can creat virtual worlds for our entertainment to virtually push ourselves past our reality's limits. To run fast in a game you need to push a joystick forward, to run fast in real life you need to train your legs. All sports originated as games, and professional sports all originated from people being so good people would pay to watch people play. So whats the difference between the games, one's electronic? You still have to train your mind and your hands to be that good. When i started playing video games at 3 on my Nintendo, I obviously couldn't do what I do today. When i started playing halo CE, i definately couldn't do what i do now. In fact i'm constantly getting better, so i could compare any time in my past to now. Because i've been training myself to be better. And there's plenty of equipment issues in competetive gaming. Cleaning out your joysticks, getting the controller to calibrate between matches, having the right thumbsticks to fit your playstyle. I could probably think of more, but that's a decent summary for the moment. Also there's a bunch of shiz with TV's and Headphones, thats competetive equipment too.
So Yes a morbidly Obese man can still be an athlete, a professional one at that. Because he's trained his mind, not his body. And as far as I know the mind is classified as a muscle.
