I can understand people wanting to play games professionally for $250,000 a year but doesn't it bother you that you would be contributing absolutely nothing to society whatsoever? I don't care how much I got paid to sit around and play video games, I wouldn't do it knowing I'm just pimple on society's ass.
$hit man, thats EXACTLY what im talking about. EXACTLY. they dont understand though... its not good for your health either.
Yeah, I agree. How could you get a sense of accomplishment from playing a video game? How could you go your entire 'career' without a sense of accomplishment? How could you go your entire 'career' knowing that you really haven't done anything? I sure as hell couldn't.
well thats the thing though... these people do feel like they accomplish something by playing video games, and i would sure as hell like the money, but it REALLY feels good if you know you earned your money. Trust me, it feels good knowing youve done something productive for the society in order to earn money. a sense of a job well done, the best feeling ever. cant imagine getting that in video games though... and for the people who are millionares off of playing video games, good for you. and if you have another job aside from video games then thats GREAT. theres a few out there i bet... but playing that much video games is harmful to your health and bottom line is its just not good. 2,3 maybe 4 hours is MORE than enough video game time a day.
You're making moronic assumptions. Just because someone is a pro gamer their health is automatically bad? Yea, there are going to be those slobs who do nothing, but those people are scattered throughout society, so trying to tell me only gamers are fat and slovenly just isn't true. I play an ass-ton of video games, and I'm considering trying to go pro. I also lift weights, run and swim on a daily basis. Me being a gamer does not preclude me from being healthy, so stop using this as an argument. It just makes you look stupid.
