REALLY feels good if you know you earned your money. Trust me, it feels good knowing youve done something productive for the society in order to earn money. a sense of a job well done, the best feeling ever.
Thing is you shouldn't force yourself to do something your not going to love doing. If someone loves playing video games and they can easily make a living from it, they should. Especially over doing some job they really don't enjoy just to give back to society.
It's rather funny tho; The people who disagree with a gaming career constantly question the morality of it all like they're fit to judge only using their biased standards. Seriously tho, to the people who are against it, Have you ever thought that the people who get loads of cash playing games aren't actually participating in advancing their education or plan to? I'm pretty sure the OGRE twins go to college not far away from where I live.
Look at Iceman, I'm sure he'd love to be a pro gamer in Halo 2. You know what else? Iceman also attends Virginia Polytechnic Institute And State Univ(Myspace ftw). An you'e have to be retarded to assume that everyone(almost everyone that is lol) under the age of 18 is not currently enrolled in a public school. What about those 18+ people, you may think. Well, how do you think they afford to go to these tournaments? Not everone is ballin enough to get all kinds of sponsorships.
Let's look at sports. What do the sports play do for society? Provide entertainment right? Well if so, imagine if MLG went Big. We, the gamers, would also provide entertainment for people. Hell, they broadcasted last years events on TV. -- Apparently this point was brought up already. Props to the guy who got to it before me.
But anyways, mainly the thing is this; What's best for you isn't best for everyone. T2 isn't currently pursuing a higher education from what I know but he sure is raking in cash from other things.
