1.) The disappearing sock in the laundry
2.) The great song that comes on the radio as you are pulling into your driveway
3.) The vanishing grenade in Halo 2
Now the first one is probably just not checking every nook and cranny of the washer or dryer. Being circular things, they do have a surprising amount of nooks and crannies.
I can't figure out number two, except for extremely bad luck, or perhaps radio stations get more money for pushing advertisements during rush hour.
And three is really starting to piss me off. I know I'm not the only one who's thrown a grenade and had it disappear. Granted, it usually happens when you are about to die. But if it's in your hand, it should at least be armed, and even then, I've seen them thrown and not go off.
And then comes the variable where someone could be standing on top of a grenade that blows and not die, while with a full shield I can be killed by a grenade a fair distance a way.
But I'm not complaining, I'm simply commenting on the mysteries of life.
