So yeah, I'm getting a summer job in about 1-2 weeks. It pays 20-30 a day (I'm ok with that), so after I buy the 320 gig HD I always wanted, a decent joystick, and the two DVD's I've always wanted to see, I'm planning on getting a 512 (or a 1Gig, possibly) RAM stick. Here are my motherboard and RAM slot specs after I have scanned them in crucial.com (very useful site):

motherboard: ASRock P4i45G
RAM slot can hold: DDR PC2700, DDR PC3200, DDR PC4000, SDRAM, and PC133

So I'm wondering, can someone suggest to me some decent 512mb RAM sticks? (1Gig if it doesn't cost too much) I'm looking to spend around 40-100 bucks.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I am back!!! xD

Or you could use Newegg.com

It's pretty much what everyone uses for online electronic shopping, and the prices are good.

Well, 512 and 1GB are out. 2GB is the standard right now. You can get 2x1GB sticks for cheap, around 140-150$. 512 won't do justice for anything, 1GB is good to run XP, but not really gaming anymore.

At any rate he would be doing better than my friend's technically disimpaired mom, who thinks that 256 mb of ram and a pentium 2 processor are good compared to today's modern technologies. Even Dell is doing better than that.

you were gone?.......
anyway, Corsair RAM stickes are actually really good prices on them. On Newegg, most 1 gig RAM sticks are around 80-120+ dollars. just snoop around, and you'll get the right RAM sticks under 100 though.

$100 for a Gig of Ram? Cool. I can go with that. =D

BTW, I failed to mention that I can't order online...=/ So yeah, I can't order online. Any good prices on Best Buy or Circuit City (yes I know, stores rip you off xD )?

EDIT: Holy shiznizzle...

I checked the Circuit City website, and not only are most of the 1Gig RAM sticks DDR2 (I have DDR, not 2), but that ONE perfect (well rated too) 1Gig stick is not available in the Circuit City near me.

So I'll list some stuff:

Should I get two of these?

Or two of these?

Holy Moly, this is expensive, but worth the money? (1Gig)

Which one(s) should I get? I might get the first one, it's pretty cheap as it is, if I buy two to make a Gig, it should be less than what an average Gig stick would cost, am I right?

But then again, price mostly does define quality...so I'm not so sure...any suggestions?
