Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

Well, I was mucking around on Two Betrayals earlier. From the beginning I popped down to the canyon floor and grabbed the Banshee. i thought, "hey, this is a flying vehicle, why don't I go and explore a bit more." So, I flew back into the Control Room, examnining the holographic Halo for any clues or Easter Eggs or owt. Went down to check out the planet and moon holding the ring in orbit (planet = Threshold, moon = Basis, yes?), and I found something really bizarre: the Halo ring is not actually parallel/perpendicular to the surface of the planet (if you get my drift... er, basically, if one were to look straight down on the scene, the line that's the top of Halo was not in line with the edge of the planet. I know that's curved, but still.)

Given Bungie's attention to detail, surely that's significant to something in the Halo plot. I hope so. Otherwise I wasted a good few minutes of my time finding that out...

Hmm.. I'll try that one. Good find.

I went and checked it out, pretty sure they did that on purpose, but I don't think it has anything to do with plot points. If it was straight, you wouldn't ever be able to see the planet or the moon while on halo, if i'm thinking of it in the way you mean?
