Ok. Just to clarify. I am not a gullible little child. So i am not usually tricked by people on xbox live who usually say "i am gonna hack your account" because i know they are just angry that they suck. But today i heard of a guy who stole another guys account and then deleted all his friends and sent loads of messages out saying nasty things. I (being my normal skeptical self) thought it was complete bull. So i added the guy who apparently did this and confronted him about it. The conversation soon heated up and he appeared to take offense to my tone of voice. He then said "i think you need to go offline". Around 5 seconds later i found myself lagged out of xbox live and decided to run the troubleshooter. I continuously got DNS problems. So i logged in to my modem , and noticed i did not have an ip, or anything. This is very unusual. I, at first assumed that my internet was down so i phoned my internet company to see if there was an outage on my line, and there was no problems. So i began to get a little worried.

40 mins later my internet returned. i signed in to halo and looked at my messages from him. They read "i bet your worried but dont worry u didnt use your credit cards". Now i was still thinking this may be a coincidence. He then invited me to his party, and i played it cool and pretended like nothing happened, but he then said "finally got your internet back". I replied and tried to stay cool. I stayed in his party and had a listen to his friends conversing. They were talking about the other accounts they had on their linux and were swapping details with eachother. I heard one of them saying they now use "wizard ip" because its a better program (i assume for hacking somehow).

Now i am concerned and i have just met 1 other person who is also English that was foolish enough to cross this person, and he too had a similar story to tell. Apparently he phoned the Xbox support line and they said it was impossible for someone to hack your account and spoof your MAC address of your xbox. So he didn't know what to do.

I am really concerned because my accounts have 2 credit cards linked to them and i don't want this criminal to get his hands on my money. What should i do?

You have entered a world that Xbox and Micro$oft deny that exists. Should of just shut your mouth.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Yes, call support.

Ninja Edit

They will deny it is possible.

Zero Cool is the name of a famous hacker (a little kid) that wrecked havoc a while ago, 10 years maybe, and there was even a movie, called Hackers, about him made then...with Angelina Jolie I think too. so maybe this guy wants to emulate the kid and ruin people's XBL experience....boo hackers, hoooray beer

Thats interesting indeed. This guy sounded around 24 years old. He appeared to have a Welsh accent, and his profile says he lives in the UK. If anyone should get banned from live, it should be him and his malicious friends!

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I'm sorry to hear you fell victim of a useless kid who really needs to get a life. At least he didn't caude too much damage.

However, no one on this site can help you. The only option you have is to try to contact Microsoft again, and try to get this guy punished.

Good luck.

It sounds like you were on the unpleasant end of an IP Flood. Unless I'm mistaken, this is illegal and you should ring your ISP to see what they can do about it. Explain your case and they will definitely be able to give you a definitive answer.

IP Flood
This is a class of DoS (Denial of Service) attack whereby the system is flooded with information using up all available bandwidth and so preventing legitimate users from access.
