This may sound stupid, and maybe it is but if you play as an Elite in multiplayer do you think you can reload all the covenant weapons. In the manual on weapon descriptions it states
"We currently do not understand how to replace or re-charge a pwer core"
now correct me if i'm wrong but technically Elites should know how to do this with their own weapons surely. Thats why i thought that as a possibility if you play as an elite you should be able to re-charge your plasma weaponry. maybe to balance it out elites don't know how to reload such primative human weaponry. It's just an idea but its a sensible one.

i was thinking this earlier, not sure about not knowing how to reload a smg or BR. i was thinking that maybe the eletes energy armour might have a plug in it somewhere where u plug the plasma weapon into and it recharges. just an idea.

Since a power core is pretty hard to handle i would say that no they cant. and a gun is not a complicated wepon to reload. If an elite cant reload a fricken shot-gun i will be disapointed.

No, the Plasma Rifle basically plugs in and recharges in a slot. Someone skilled with it can go through a whole battle with humans on one charge. However ecountering the chief is unexpected.

I don't know if it would feel right if the weapons could be replenished anyway. The fact that you have to pick up a fresh one to top off your ammo was part of what made the plasma guns unique. I guess I wouldn't mind if big vehicles and turrets could replenish your ammo as they seem to do for enemies in campaign mode, though. With destructible vehicles, it could make keeping a vehicle out of harm's way to use it for refilling ammo an option, which I'm all for. I love variety and options.

I heard that some covenant weapons will be non-plasma energy weapons, some of which use removable ammo thingies. I also heard that there will be a covenant sniper rifle. This probably won't be a plasma gun since the glowing things travel too slow for sniping and seem to have a range limit, so it might use a power cell that pops out.

on IGN it said that playing as Elites or MC in multiplayer was no different, I am assuming this applies to reloading too

umm RedBack.. u had an interesting idea about the elites plugging the weapons into their armor, but doesn't master chiefs miljinor VI ba feature most of the tecnology that the elites have (i mean the shields wore allready plugged in the 2nd version of miljinor armor)
so why wouldn't master chief have the functions?

great idea by the way (i mean that plug-in thingy)

Sounds interesting, but Id hope they don't its part of what made the anlien wepaosn so unique. Unless like someone suggested with the vehicle or shade recharging. Elites should definately be able to reload human weapons or MP will suck ass. And btw the Covenant Sniper rifle is energy based according to Bungie, which I assume means PLasma and don start on mewith PLasma and energy aint the same thing. If you look in the Halo manual it uses energy to describe the Plasma weapons....

I think the covie sniper uses plasma but the magnitic coils that form the plasma will run out to the edge of the barall giving it super speed

kind of like the big Covie ship that was sniping the Human ships from a distance with white hot beams (plasma) Fall of Reach

kind of like how cortana can make the plasma in there ships move very fast and doesn't spread out on impact but goes though as far as she wants she can also move it up and down like a knife (First Strike)

So you think that it will be like Halo 1 where you swap the plasma weapon for another one with more battery power? If there was to be any major battles in Halo 2 you would think the Covenant would have energy reserves to keep fighting. I agree about it sucking if elites couldn't re-load human weapons having considered you opinions i think all races should be able to re-load all weapons.
I still think reloading the plasma rifle and plasma pistol is a good idea though, there might be batteries or something. It would be nice to see the reloading animations for them, by the way where do you think the power cores are where they are reloaded?
