Back in eighth grade (spring of 2004) my friend was telling me about Halo. I didn't have an Xbox (yet) so I downloaded the PC demo. I swear, I must have played through The Silent Cartographer about 20 times that night alone! I couldn't believe how awesome it was; essentially nirvana for me, a huge fan of sci-fi. I talked about it with my dad and he sent me a money order for $400. I went to Wal-Mart and bought an Xbox, Halo, and KOTOR. I came home, put Halo in the disc tray, and sat down to one of the most memorable video game experiences ever. That summer, I sank into depression due to both a chemical imbalance and things going on in my life, and was committed to a facility. After four weeks, I was released. I came home. I played Halo!
I'm all better now.
