OK, so as I see it, there aren't too many competitive gamers in this thread. All you guys do, from what I read, is play MMing all day and that's it. Personally, I have no problem with that. You want to have fun, have fun, but don't trash a perfectly good gun. You guys probably have some "code of honor" that doesn't allow you to glitch, even if they're completely fair, or use certain weapons--although you'll probably readily hop on sword or RL when given the chance. Those take "skill," I guess. Right...
A BR start is the most used competitive gun start for MLGers, or any real competitive community. A double shot takes time to learn, master, and finally, aim. BXRs are easy, so anyone can do them, yet you don't and cry foul when someone uses it against you. BXB is completely legit. It changes outcomes of fights that would otherwise be impossible--same for the BXR and BXB. Yet, most people who cry foul at a BXR would readily super jump on Lockout, then trash talk you after they nearly lose. It takes four shots to kill someone with a BR, and once mastered, can be used at nearly any range. It gives people a fair chance off-spawn to kill any weapon, but doesn't become the only weapon one would use when they bring their "A-game."
To anyone "challenging" this post, I don't play Halo 2 anymore. I play Shadowrun and Halo: CE. (Yes, I do want the old pistol brought back!) Plus, 1v1s, especially on any map other than Warlock (And, due to the community I'm dealing with, I'll push it to Lockout.), don't prove anything. It's online, it has lag, and an immense host advantage. Challenge me all you like, I haven't played in months. I've never accepted a 1v1 challenge, anyhow.
