Just want to let every Halo fan out there know that Ender is the -blam!-! The Ender's Game novels are the best books I've ever read. Period. Right now I'm almost halfway through Xenocide. I've seen a few people rarley discuss the Ender's Game novel, but it goes WAY deeeper than just the first novel, you've really got to read Speaker for the Dead and Xenocide. I always thought that it could'nt get any better than Ender's Game until I decided to continue the series and went out, purchased, and read Speaker for the Dead. I also have reason to believe that these books inspired alot of what Halo is today, but that's another story.....

The last man on Earth sat in a room, there came a knock at the door.

Service Record

All I read was Ender's Game in the series, and yes, it kicks major ass.

Well, if Ender's Game kicks major ass (which is an understatment) then Speaker for the Dead and Xenocide can kick major Spartan ass.

Help me out here : are these books halo-related or are they just cool books? I haven't heard of any of those books. What are they about? (tell me without giving away any spoilers if you can...)

No, none of the aforementioned books are Halo related (the Halo novels include: Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: The Flood, and Halo: First Strike). As for the Ender books I will quote the back cover of the first book, Ender's Game: ""INTENSE is the word for ENDER'S GAME. Aliens have attacked Earth twice and almost destroyed the human species. To make sure humans win the next encounter, the world government has taken to breeding military geniuses--and then train them in the arts of war... The early training, not surprisingly, takes the form of 'games'....Ender Wiggin is a genius among geniuses; he wins all the games.... He is smart enough to know that time is running out. But is he smart enough to save the planet?""

If you have any doubt whatsoever of whether or not to purchase this book just take another look at my first post. I'd buy all these books if they each cost $50.
