I recently purchased Halo PC, and an Xbox 360 wireless controller adapter. I got the game installed and the controller working and my idea is to own all the noobs playing with keyboards with my owz0r, 1337 H4X controller. Theres a BAD callibration issue however. The joysticks, even when centered, are going CRAZY in the game. Even if you try to keep them still then they are horrible.

Things ive tried to fix it:
Xpadder callibration program: This has an editor that you can change the dead zone in the joysticks from being almost a dot to however big you want. (this makes it to where if you hold forward on the right joystick, it wont move until it gets past the dead zone.)
Xpadder makes it where you save the profiles of the controller. So when i load up halo ce there are no changes. (even when i reboot)

I've also tried the windows callibrater. Its a pile of RUBBISH.

Does anyone have the same problem and or fixed it with an UBER callibration program?

If so link me or tell me what to do. Thanks much!

So, why didn't you post this in the Halo PC forum, the Maw? Let's hope this gets moved.

The reason why you're not owning all the noobs playing with a keyboards with your not-so-"owz0r, 1337 H4X controller" is because the gamepad is a piece of crap compared to the mouse and keyboard when it comes to first-person shooters. Although Halo PC supports gamepads for use, it has no dead zone support and they removed the walking pace in the port--simply put, they optimized it for the mouse and keyboard over the controller. Thus, there is no auto-aim nor built-in calibration for gamepads unlike the Xbox version.

There are players who can play quite well with them, but they're vastly out-numbered by better players with mice and keyboards. I would recommend you drop that clumsy noob stick you call a controller and pick up a real input device meant for shooters; the mouse and keyboard. Once you start using it, the gamepad looks like an unwieldy stone-age tool.
