Actually wasn't bad, I was expecting it to be absolutely horrible. But for just a few games not bad...
And if you do get on Halo 3 forum (which I didn't see this montage on H3forum today) then you should know something about compressing, and you should know MPEG = a no no.
Go with WMV, you make think that kills your quality, but I will go find you some sample quality..... Click this for quality test
^ Tell me what kind of cap card you have and I can maybe get you quality like that.....
Wow... that was very, very nice quaility. And i used Ulead Video editor.. Pretty much Windows Movie Maker on steroids, or HGH. I downloaded the free trial for Sony Vegas.. but i didnt use it for around 25 days, and my trial ran out. If you have any ideas on how to render it better, let me know. Im open to ideas. Im glad you didnt think it was horrible. I dont know if you can tell, but just by watching, you should be able to see its out of a few games.
these are the specs on the cap.card
Video Format Resolution -NTSC Resolution - PAL Video Bit Rate
VCD 352 x 240 352 x 288 1.15 Mbit/sec.
SVCD 480 x 480 480 x 576 2.4 Mbit/Sec.
DVD 720 x 480 720 x 576 1-15 Mbit/sec. (USB 2.0)
1-6 Mbit/sec. (USB 1.1)
Real-time encoding of analog video to the following formats:
Full D1 MPEG 2 broadcast resolution (704 x 480 NTSC / 704 x 576 PAL)
½ D1 MPEG2 (352 x 480 NTSC / 352 x 576 PAL)
VCD MPEG 1 (352 x 240 NTSC / 352 x 288 PAL)
Frame Rates: 29.97 NTSC and 25 fps PAL

Nothing special, but it gets the job done.
