We really need a update for Halo PC to fix the netcode, and other problems. Please Bungie give us one or get someone to get us one. People post here to support

They won't re-work the entire game for us. Sorry.

This is really a poll? Who would honestly be against a new patch?

Thats like saying, who wants a 8800 GTX? I don't want mine.

It desperately needs one but it isn't going to get one, unfortunately.

Perhaps they could have a update for Halo CE at least

Not gonna happen. Unless if you want to re-work the entire net code for us.

  • 06.26.2007 3:11 PM PDT

What it is.

I would say yes, but the game's time has come and pass. Sure loads still play it, but developers are too busy to care about us PC gamers.

Hypothetically, what if the 8800 GTX turns out to be a piece of crap and is actually worse than what you're currently using? Patches don't always make a game better, dude. Sometimes they make it worse.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

*Scottish bagpiper comes out and starts a heart moving melody when a great hero dies in combat or for the better of their people.* May we never forget what Halo for the PC has done for us. We have been removed a great hero today, but we must continue on like they would have wanted us to. For Halo PC! For country! For freedom!!!!!

I would like to see them do something about the Delay Countdown feature in the online games. I would really like to see a limit of 2 delays per person AND/OR post the name of the person who delayed in the chat. Last night I waited over half an hour for some idiot to stop pressing the delay button every time they tried to start the game. Its really becoming a problem when trying to play online. FIX THIS! I'm mad enough to stop playing for good.

You're talking about H2V, not HPC.

This is a rather pointless poll. I would actually vote 'No' if I felt inclined to vote. Nothing said in this thread will alter any course of action, regarding anything, anywhere, ever. I'm not disagreeing with the OP, but come on, let's be sensible, shall we?

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

I voted no b/c the idea that Bungie/Gearbox is going to update Halo PC at this point is ridiculous.

This is the company that pulled all 16 of their Halo servers down one day without notice late last year, told us they would keep us up to date on the situation and then never said a word.

People started a few threads asking what was going on, and we were completely ignored as usual.

(Bungie > 343i)

Yes a new update or a patch would be nice WE LOVE YOU BUNGIE!!!

(a new map would be nice ...but that would never happen)

I'm afraid we'll never see another update. The devs just don't have the time and resources to create another update. And no, a patch cannot fix the terrible net code. You cannot entirely change a game's engine from a patch, only do minor tweaks to it.

Yes, that would be like asking Bungie for a new map, and a patch for Myst, or Marathon.

Where's the "Yes, but I'm not going to bother to vote because I know Bungie/MS/Gearbox/HG doesn't care about us" option?

Edit: I voted No for the sheer ridiculousness of this possibility.

They just can't release a patch just to make people happy. The patch fixes things, and so Halo doesn't need another patch, because it was already updated and bettered with the 1.07 patch.

Actually, no, they don't have to "lission"(dude honestly, use a spell checker) to a bajillion people complain. It's up to them, not us, and if we complain, things will be delayed because of "patches".(Halo 3 for PC for instance).
