The first thing I noticed when I installed this game on my Vista partition (besides the lag) is that it has the Xbox XBYA buttons in the menu's... Now call me a moron but this is the PC version! Yes, you can use a 360 controller, but the XBYA buttons should only show up with a game-pad enabled. Did Hired Gun get lazy and just rip the Xbox version to the PC? It also pissed me off having to create a live account before I could play the game, and also the fact that live is blacked out anyway so I cant mess around on multiplayer maps. I PAYED FOR IT, WHY CANTS I PLAY MULTIPLAYER?! Also installation was like no other game I've experienced before, the damn play option was available as soon as the disc booted. And then in the bottom right during game play "Copying files" or something like that. Not to mention the fact that 'Multiplayer' is replaced by 'live'.

This game is a fail. Screw you Bungie & Hired Gun, and especially you Microsoft. Now go ahead and flame me, it wont change the fact that I am not satisfied with Halo 2 for Windows Vista.

I dont think many people here will disagree with you. It was shoddily done with no responses to customer complaints.

Mm yes. The game was horribly ported. PC gamers like me are horribly screwed over, seeing as 360 owners get their own aimbot by using the controller, AND microsofts expects us to pay for something we've had free for oh so long?

I miss gearbox.. And I miss the way Halo was heading before MS bought out Bungie.

Well anyway, bring on Halo 2 CE to combat the crapiness.

Doomy, you should be able to play live games. You need the silver membership to live at least (which is free).

It's the hard heart that kills...

Ah. I feel your pain. But for Halo 2 w/ mouse & KB it's virtually the only game in town, so to speak. I get a lot more frags on H2V than on H2 Xbox.

I went from HL2 DM to H2V today, and H2V was like playing underwater by comparison.
