the games only been out for almost 3 years...where have you been?

There was a man from Allentown who fed his son to death.
He calmly watched him gorge himself until his final breath.
And there he stood, surprised and shocked above his tiny frame.
He said: "I bear no blame for this. I only share his name!"

yes there is a big advantage. ur BXR's BXB's work better. long shots actually do damage 2 the person.

They don't do more damage, it's just that more of the 3 bullets in the burst connect so it kills faster.

Yes, there is a host advantage for sure.

The host advantage for the BR is HUGE.

Like, game deciding when at higher levels.......many a game will be ended with "You wouldn't have won if you weren't host!!!"

But yeah, as Sharpest said, you don't do more damage, but your shots will always connect (assuming you hit your target.) Host advantage is most noticeable when it's a bad host. Like, everyone is in constant half green/yellow bar the whole game. Host will always dominate those kinds of situations.

However, when it's crisp full green bar, everyone's shots should connect as they should, but host will still have an edge. A slight edge, but an edge nonetheless. Not too bad when it's a good host.

Just a question Iceman, why on Tombstone does it feel the Host has an easier time killing people from farther distances. I mean feasibly, the host could stay on top of Red base and kill almost anyone b/c of how far his/her shots go and it seems that his shots do a tad bit more damage. Maybe I am imagining this, but I was just wondering. Just a friendly question.

Take it from this guy people, he knows what he's talking about.

He can do exactly that. I have a really strong host and when I play on the 2 new maps, I almost always dominate because I can stand there and shoot everything I see and the only thing that can really cause me any trouble is the sniper. Host has further range so it makes a difference on most of the mid-large maps. On midship and Warlock.....and sometimes Lockout host wont make a huge difference when everyone else has a BR because the range is so short that all your shots are connecting anyway. Shotgun is a different story though :)

There are 3 ways to tell who host is.

1. Right when the game starts and everyone is spawning hold the back button. The first peron to spawn and not have an X beside their name is usually host (sometimes a few spawn at the same time but only 1 is host).

2. You can look at how long the game was for each player and the player with the longest time in the game was host.

3. Have a guy get a BR and start shooting it across the maps. If he can shoot a long way and cause damage then he is host. You can also do it with a sniper on the biggest maps.

no, only one person can ever have host... the only way for more than one person to get host is if you happen to get host and you all play on the same xbox...

and another way to tell if you have host is to grenade jump... if you can grenade jump really high, then you have host

How long exactley has it taken for you to work this out?
Don't even get me started on the shotgun, or a laggy guy with a sword.

This is an issue and a glaring problem in Team SWAT, particularly on Tombstone. So much so that it almost makes the game unplayably frustrating.

The host advantage of landing one burst kills at long range while taking several bursts to put down is aggravating. While I'm not that skilled a player yet, it still doesn't make any sense when you shoot someone in the face point blank along with two bursts to the torso and they kill you with one burst to the torso.

That's just one example of how the whole game went.

Not cool.

You know I made up this song, I call it because I got host. It's just that one song because I got high but just a little different. Like in the song It would be like, I got my triple kill because I host and it pretty much flows on like that. I thought it was actually kind of funny, so did my friend. Anyway though host advantage is only good when ur the host because then you get kills, know what I am saying. SU-WAA!!!!

No, they don't. Don't start name calling, when you're the one that ends up sounding like an idiot.

I think that's just cuz of the lack of latency or whatever when you fight from farther away.

I used to pull host a LOT back in my college dorm (T3 FTW!!!) but now back home I'm on bad DSL LOL. So I'm always getting hosted by someone sitting back and absolutely tearing people apart from far away.

Host on Desolation is awful. You can abuse that so bad .........

Host Warlock is also pretty noticeable....

Nice. For some reason, I can never do the number 1 (hold back) because....I'm not quick enough? I dunno. I just can't tell from that for some reason (but that's just me.)

I had no clue on the number 2. Learned something new today :-D

You can also tell if ur host by throwing a grenade at your feet then jumping up from the explosion and if it makes you go higher then ur host if not then well find cover cause your shield is almost out.

For number 2 that usually only works if you start the game and end it right away, the host will have a longer average life(probably like 2 seconds more).

Number 3 I wouldn’t recommend, Just do the good 'ol BXR, if your gun reloads your not host.

Also try the nade reload if your gun is not fully loaded throw a nade and while the Spartan extends his are hit X, your gun will automatically reload.

NOTE: Do not glitch in MM cause its "cheating"

Oh yeah 'nade reload. That's another good way to tell =)

My last thread: Why Reach Sucks

<3 Foman

all the hosts bullets connect accurately and the beat downs dont have that split second latency delay. So it's not just host BR advantage, its everything. Host SMG rapes.

You tell who's host by:

-If they can get any boost or be pushed by a grenades explosion.
-If when hit BXR it doesn't ghost reload.
-If when you start the game and hold back they are the first ones to spawn.
-If when you start a custom then end it immediately, the longest average life (first to spawn) is host.
-If they 4 shot you across colossus lol. (joke)
-If they can't excessive shot.
-If they can't nade reload.
