I'm very confused. I just read that with silver accounts you can host dedicated servers but the person who is hosting can't join his own game but gold membership you can join. Is this true or false?

Slaying noobs since 2007.

That would make no sense, I think you are confused about it. It isn't dedicated, unless corrected. Oh, and try not bump, be patient.

ok sorry. I want to know if silver accounts can create games in which others can join? Like maybe a server farm can create servers for people to join? is this possible with a silver account??

You know how the Halo 2 Vista DVD has the dedicated server tool? u need to put your account username and password to create a server, so I'm wondering if it'll let you create a server with a Silver account instead of a gold membership account...hope i make sense.

What it is.

Gold users are the only ones that can create servers within the game. Silver users can host dedicated servers. However, you can't host a dedicated server on your computer and join it using the same computer. So basically, Silver can't do anything other than create dedicated servers. Gold users can create servers/parties within the game as well as host dedicated servers, and they can join gold-only servers as well as client-side servers(user created party).
